Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our boy Zeus is ready to find his forever home. If you follow our page regularly, you may already know his story. He originally came to us from a local shelter after being surrendered due to a change in his owner’s living situation. What that change was, we will never know. What we do know is that once he was surrendered, it became clear Zeus had a complicated leg break. The shelter reached out to rescues, and of course we stepped in. After taking him in, we brought Zeus to our vet, where we learned he actually had two fractures in his leg. One was healing, but the other was not. After discussing all options, we were told the best and kindest choice for Zeus was amputation. Today, Zeus is a tripod. But his story doesn’t end there. Zeus is also blind. In one eye he may see shadows; the other has a retinal issue likely caused by a birth defect. Through all of this, Zeus has remained one of the most loving, affectionate boys we have ever met. He proves once again why dogs are truly amazing. Zeus is now ready to live his life the way he was always meant to. He is absolutely wonderful. He’s the kind of dog who can go just about anywhere. He loves everyone he meets, from babies on up. He is housebroken, crate trained, amazing in the car, playful with squeaky toys, and even does well on a leash. Zeus loves to socialize. He has gone to local farmers markets in his stroller and met so many wonderful people who have given him nothing but love and pets. He sits proudly, smelling all the smells in the air, looking happy and content. Zeus gets along great with other dogs. He loves to play with them and with his toys. He is very smart — he learned how to use the doggie door within two days of being in his foster home. He enjoys being outside, laying on the deck in the sun, and playing “treats in the grass” every evening. But more than anything, Zeus loves his people. He can’t seem to get enough attention. Anywhere they go, Zeus wants to be. When he wants affection, he nudges you with his nose — his signature “poodle poke.” He’s always right there. He has learned to navigate life as a tripod beautifully. He can do a set of stairs up and down the porch and will balance on his one back leg to ask to get on the couch. It has only been a month since his surgery, so he does get tired at times, and sometimes his back leg will slide out from under him. These are all things that will continue to improve with time. Because Zeus is blind and tends to be underfoot, we are asking for a home with a fully fenced yard and slightly older kids, past the toddler stage. He loves children, but he may accidentally cut them off or trip them as they walk. We don’t want anyone getting hurt. Zeus likes dogs, but a home with smaller dogs (shorter or under 25 pounds) may be best for him as he navigates more easily around them. If you think you can give Zeus the home he was meant to have, make sure you apply today. You won’t be disappointed, and you will end up being loved more than ever. He’s the best little buddy ever. Zeus is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $475  We require a martingale collar at the time of adoption. If you do not have one, you may purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10 to ensure Zeus's safety and security.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 7, 2026, 10:24 am

Bronwyn 3 years old Spayed female Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Mini Poodle mix) 15 lbs Bronwyn is a sweet girl learning all about real life after spending her younger years in a puppy mill. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This guy has been returned to our organization by no fault of his own.  His adopter had to move to an assistant living facility and TITO was not able to relocate with her. Meet TITO, he is a funny and playful 4 year old poodle who weighs 10 pounds and will not get any bigger unless you are guilty of feeding your dog table food!  TITO came to us horrible matted and rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX in bad shape.  He was so happy to land on a soft bed and was very hungry.  I tried to cut his hair and mats off of him but he could use a really good grooming so you can see what a handsome boy he is. TITO has a playful and easy to lucky personality.  There are no cats in the home so we do not know how he would get along with them. TITO has settled in very well with the other dogs in the foster home.  He plays with big and small but he especially likes hanging around his foster mom, following her from room to room and cuddling with her.  Her gets under her foot when her legs are crossed to scratch his back.  He rubs himself back and forth until she picks him up and gives him a good rubdown, then he is happy. TITO is house-trained, crate-trained and can be left alone in the home without getting in to anything.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick. If you are interested in adopting TITO, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         July 31, 2026, 2:58 pm

Story
Well guys - we’re in a bit of a predicament here.. Can’t say we’ve been here before. We have the most perfect angel baby puppy right now who does NOT want to get adopted.  Macaroni came to us with inguinal hernias and needed to spend some time growing up - so he’s been THRIVING in foster care.  So much so, any time he leaves his foster home he mopes around like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh..  He’s attended events and he cannot wait to leave and get back home.  Soo we’re attempting to duplicate his foster home, but ultimately if he is adopted will be determined by him at a meet and greet.. Yeah yeah we’ve heard it all before - he will adjust, he is young he can learn.  He is literally obsessed with his foster home. So let’s give this a try, but we’re 50/50 if Mac will accept a new family or not. Please read his bio entirely before applying, applications not meeting his specifics will not be processed for him Macaroni 4/7/26Mini poodle mixNeutered male  Expected to be under 15 lbs fully grown.  His forever home must have the following  dogs - like the more the merrier for him - specifically a large dog - his best friend is a pitbull  dogs must be prosocial and lack personal space  fenced yard Mac sleeps in bed at night on top of his fosters head - this is his spot  Mac must be crated when unattended  Macaroni is not a dog who wants to be a purse dog, he doesn’t wanna have brunch on Sundays and wear foo foo collars. Macaroni wants to wrestle with the pitbulls, throw his toys around the house, and gnaw on 12” rolled beef cheeks like it’s his job.  He is great in the car and loves adventures.Great for baths and the groomer.Does not walk on a leash.  Applications for consideration can be completed on our website: allieandpalsrescue.org/adopt general application - he is not listed on the website  (Pre and post first haircut photos included ) ##2413817##
