Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Laura is ready for adoption! Laura is a 4–5‑year‑old Cockapoo who came to us from a breeder, and she is so ready to start living the good life. At just 14 pounds, she’s a petite sweetheart with the prettiest eyes and a gentle, blossoming personality. She’s already discovering what it means to be a loved family dog — and she’s loving it. Laura is adjusting beautifully to home life. She even taught herself how to go up and down the stairs so she can get outside or hang out with the other dogs — pretty impressive for a girl who’s new to all of this! She enjoys being outdoors and has a fully fenced yard in her foster home where she can safely wander and explore. She is doing well pottying outside and will use pee pads indoors when needed. Everything is still new to her, so adopters should expect continued training and a few accidents as she settles in. Laura gets along nicely with other dogs, though she has zero interest in puppy antics — those days are behind her, thank you very much. She’s happiest with calm, low‑energy dogs and would love a gentle canine companion in her new home to bond with and learn from. She also does well in a crate. Laura is not leash trained yet, but with patience and positive experiences, we believe she’ll come along just fine. She’s still a bit shy with new people and situations, which is completely normal for a former breeder dog. Her confidence will continue to grow as she learns how to “dog” like a pet. She is sweet, gentle, and so deserving of a family who will love her exactly as she is. Laura is now spayed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, flea‑treated, dewormed, and heartworm negative. She recently had a dental with minor extractions and will need another dental in the future. Her adoption fee is $500 (due to rising veterinary costs, our fees have increased). Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This guy has been returned to our organization by no fault of his own.  His adopter had to move to an assistant living facility and TITO was not able to relocate with her. Meet TITO, he is a funny and playful 4 year old poodle who weighs 10 pounds and will not get any bigger unless you are guilty of feeding your dog table food!  TITO came to us horrible matted and rescued from the streets of San Antonio, TX in bad shape.  He was so happy to land on a soft bed and was very hungry.  I tried to cut his hair and mats off of him but he could use a really good grooming so you can see what a handsome boy he is. TITO has a playful and easy to lucky personality.  There are no cats in the home so we do not know how he would get along with them. TITO has settled in very well with the other dogs in the foster home.  He plays with big and small but he especially likes hanging around his foster mom, following her from room to room and cuddling with her.  Her gets under her foot when her legs are crossed to scratch his back.  He rubs himself back and forth until she picks him up and gives him a good rubdown, then he is happy. TITO is house-trained, crate-trained and can be left alone in the home without getting in to anything.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick. If you are interested in adopting TITO, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 29, 2026, 7:23 am
