Meet Rufus Breed: Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 26 lbs Fun fact: When his hair is long he looks like a mini Sheepdog! Foster home: Palmyra, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: Dogs and older kids, not cat tested (he’s a bit shy so small children may spook him) Sleep style: Dog bed, he’s like Goldilocks and on a search for a bed that’s just right and happy to test them all until he finds it! Meals: A mix of kibble, pumpkin and canned food Snore-o-meter: 0/10 Bark-o-meter: 2/10, rarely barks even when other dogs are Shedding meter: 0/10 (will need to be groomed regularly) Fashion: A red ascot would stand out against his black and white coat Signature color: Red Walk out song: Here Comes The Sun- The Beatles Favorite season: Spring and fall, likes easy and mild weather just like his personality Personality: Sweet, gentle, inquisitive, intelligent, happy Loves: Testing dog beds, sniff-aris in the backyard, walking on a leash, cuddling on the couch (should not be left unattended), learning about the good life! Neutered ✅ Microchipped ✅ Housebroken when on a schedule ✅ Takes treats gently ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great on a leash ✅ UTD on vaccinations ✅ UTD on preventatives ✅ No vision? No problem! Rufus is a sweet and gentle dog who is doing great in his foster home. He’s learning the ropes from his canine foster siblings and adapting to a new environment quickly. Though he has no vision and limited hearing, he remains a loving and happy dog who is looking for a family of his own. Could that be you? Meet Baby! Breed: Miniature Poodle Mix Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 12 lbs Foster home: Lake Geneva, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: dogs and adults, because of his poor vision he would not be a good fit for a home with small children. He also prefers low energy dogs who give him his space. Sleep style: Cozy on the couch Meals: Mix of wet and dry food throughout the day, he’s more of a grazer/nibbler Bark-o-meter: 4/10, barks when someone is at the door Shedding meter: 1/10 Fashion: Bow ties, he’s a formal gent Signature color/pattern: Aqua blue, really highlights his apricot curls Walk out song: Walking on Sunshine Favorite season: Summer, he gets to spend more time outdoors romping in the grass Personality: Gentle, sweet, loves to be near his people ❤️s: Exploring his yard (we imagine he would throw on some readers and study maps!), being with his people at all times, taking treats gently Baby was found as a stray in Chicago and is on to bigger and better things. He loves to act as your personal security detail, patrolling the yard to keep you safe :) He does not like to be crated but does well roaming free when you are gone. He’s working on going potty outside and almost has it down, but would benefit from a belly band if being left for a longer period. He is not a fan of being left alone and would prefer a calmer home where someone is home with him often. Neutered ✅ Microchipped ✅ Loves to be near his people and meet new friends ✅ Trusted to roam free when left alone ✅ UTD on vaccinations ✅ UTD on preventatives ✅ Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
