Story
Hi I’m Theo and I’m a 3 year old 13lb Cockapoos mix lil boy who is looking for someone to love me forever and ever. If you want to add a little unconditional love to your life...I am right here!! I’m a fun loving guy who likes to live life to the fullest. I am in search of my forever family and home that will love me and make endless memories with me. I am the missing piece to completing your wonderful family. Investing your love into me will be so worth it!! I am good with children and other dogs. I was rescued from an overcrowded rural shelter. Please add a lotta unconditional love, sloppy kisses, tail wags and endless happiness to your family and contact jbrescuerangers@yahoo.com for an adoption application and bring me home. I will come with the works (neutered, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested if age appropriate, heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance). What more could a new family ask for? Love and Kisses, Theo

These pups are in Whitewater, Wisconsin too!

Story
Meet Maxwell: Professional Happiness Distributor. Amateur Escape Artist. Full Time Snuggle Expert. Clicking a button on this website does NOT submit an application. Go to albertsdoglounge.com to applySome dogs have resting grumpy face. Maxwell has resting happy face. This fluffy little 24-pound Bichon/Poodle mix wakes up every morning absolutely convinced it's going to be the greatest day of his life. And honestly? He'd like you to feel the same way.Whether it's a walk around the block, making dinner, watching TV, or simply following you to the bathroom for the 47th time that day, Maxwell approaches life with the enthusiasm of someone who just won the lottery. His tail wags. His whole body wiggles. He has the happiest little trot you've ever seen. His walk-up song? Walking on Sunshine, of course.Maxwell found himself at Chicago Animal Care & Control as a stray...again. Whatever his life looked like before, it's clear no one ever told him he wasn't supposed to love people with his whole heart. He's decided those days are behind him, and now he's looking for a family worthy of all the joy he's been saving up.If you've ever wanted your own personal shadow, congratulations. You've found Captain Underfoot. Maxwell is a world-class Velcro dog. If you're cooking, he's your sous chef. Folding laundry? He's quality control. Watching TV? He's already wedged against your leg. Sleeping? He'd vote to sleep in your bed if it weren't a little too tall, so he settles for snoozing faithfully beside your side of the bed like the loyal little gentleman he is. Personal space? Maxwell has heard the term but respectfully declines to participate. And speaking of cooking... We're fairly certain his true passion is becoming a celebrity chef. He watches every meal being prepared with laser focus, mentally taking notes as though Gordon Ramsay might call at any moment. If food is involved, Maxwell would like to volunteer as both assistant and official taste tester. This cheerful little guy absolutely lives for walks. Put on your shoes, glance toward the front door, or accidentally jingle a leash, and Maxwell assumes Adventure Time has officially begun. He'll happily enjoy a nice 20-30 minute stroll, where he can sniff every fascinating scent and proudly handle, well, most of his bathroom business.Rain, however? Maxwell would like to file a formal complaint with Mother Nature. He firmly believes soggy paws are unnecessary, inconvenient, and frankly rude.Maxwell is also one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. His foster family has watched him be incredibly gentle and thoughtful with Gizmo, their blind foster dog. He seems to instinctively understand that Gizmo needs a little extra kindness, and he happily adjusts around him. It's impossible not to notice just how soft-hearted this little guy really is.Like many dogs, Maxwell isn't perfect. He gets excited when he sees other dogs on walks and can pull on the leash while announcing that he'd very much like to investigate. His foster family is teaching him to check in instead (hot dogs are proving to be an excellent educational tool). He can be a little head shy, likely because of a chronic ear issue that's being treated, and he's still polishing his manners. He also has one tiny flaw. Okay...two. Actually, well, let's call them enthusiasms.First, Maxwell believes every open front door is the beginning of an exciting new adventure. He is a front-door and car-door bolter, so his forever family will need to be mindful whenever doors are opened.Second, if you stand still too long, there's an excellent chance you'll discover Maxwell directly beneath your feet. He's earned the title Captain Underfoot for a reason. He's currently marking indoors, something that will hopefully improve after his upcoming neuter surgery. He's also scheduled to have his chronic ear cleaned and treated while he's under anesthesia, so he'll soon be feeling even better. The funny thing about Maxwell is that beneath all the comedy, cuddles, and enthusiasm is simply a dog who wants one thing: His people. He doesn't care if you have a giant backyard or a cozy apartment. He doesn't need fancy adventures. He just wants someone to love, someone to follow, someone to cuddle with, and someone to take him on the walks he dreams about. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep your lap warm, supervise every meal, remind you to enjoy the little things, and greet every single day like it's the best one yet, Maxwell is already waiting by the door.Probably because he thinks it's time for a walk.Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. He is blind but quickly adapts to new spaces. His foster blocks stairs to avoid him falling and his forever home should have no stairs or stairs should be blocked/he should be carried to avoid injury. He’s great at navigating new homes, but should be secured when left alone to avoid him getting lost/injured. He is a sweet, loving pup who is mellow and loves to go for walks and be spoiled!
