Story
Meet Ruby ❤️ Ruby is a senior cocker spaniel with the kind of presence that instantly makes a room feel calmer. She is gentle, polite, and endlessly sweet — the sort of dog who seems to understand exactly how to melt hearts without even trying. Ruby adores being carried like a baby and is perfectly content resting in your arms, soaking up love. When she’s not being held, she sits like a proper little lady, patiently waiting her turn for pets, never demanding and always appreciative. Her manners are impeccable, and her soul is even better. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and brings a quiet, comforting energy wherever she goes. Ruby doesn’t ask for much — just soft affection, kind companionship, and a peaceful place to call home. We truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Ruby is one of those special seniors who reminds you how meaningful the simple moments can be. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion to share your days with, Ruby may be exactly the dog you’ve been waiting for. 💗

Story
Maggie has a spinal injury with limited use of back legs. We believe she is capable of rehabilitation with the proper care/person.She gets around fine and can use legs to a certain degree but does require a diaper, we believe, because she does not have full sensation in her hind area. She is sweet and, otherwise, and in good health. Gets along well with other dogs. I am simply unable to give her the care she needs to maintain and rehabilitate.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky – Your Loyal Best Friend and Adventure Partner! ❤️ Rocky is a handsome 2-year-old dog with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate, friendly, and eager to be part of a loving family. He loves spending time with his people and is happiest when he's included in everyday activities, whether that's going for a car ride, exploring a new trail, taking a walk around the neighborhood, or simply relaxing by your side. Rocky's story is one that will tug at your heartstrings. Before coming into our rescue, he was left to roam the streets on his own. When we found him, he was desperately approaching strangers and begging for food. He was hungry, thirsty, and covered in fleas and ticks. Our hearts broke seeing him in such a neglected condition. The saddest part was that Rocky actually had owners. When we brought him home and attempted to reunite him with them, they simply shrugged and said, 'You can take him.' While it was heartbreaking to see him so easily discarded, part of me was relieved because I knew this precious boy deserved so much more. Today, Rocky is an absolute gem. He is affectionate, obedient, loyal, and incredibly friendly. He walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent recall, and loves being with his people. Rocky is the kind of dog that quickly becomes your shadow and your best friend. His gentle nature and eagerness to please make him a joy to have as a companion. Rocky does wonderfully with older, considerate children and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. In fact, he would love a canine companion in his forever home—another friendly dog to play with, bond with, and share adventures with. However, Rocky would do best in a home without cats. This amazing boy is looking for a forever family that will cherish him the way he deserves to be cherished. A secure fenced yard would be ideal, along with a family that will include him in their daily lives and never let him wonder where his next meal, kind word, or loving touch will come from. If you live in Southern California, San Diego County, have a home with a secure fenced yard, and would love to welcome Rocky into your family, please complete an adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org. Not ready to adopt? Rocky is also looking for a foster home while he waits for his forever family. If you'd like to help this wonderful boy, please submit a foster application through our website as well. After everything he's been through, Rocky hasn't lost his faith in people. He still greets every day with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and endless love to give. Now all he needs is a family who will love him forever. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 27, 2026, 9:45 pm

Story
SPECIAL NEEDS GIRL Lola is an active, playful girl. She doesn't ask for much, just a little affections and her comfy bed. Lola was severely neglected. Her teeth were so bad even the bone was infected. When that went untreated her tongue developed lesions too. Most of her teeth have been removed. Her tongue has recovered but a bit out of shape. Because of this Lola has a bit of a drool. It 's not much but the edges of her mouth is usually wet. Lola has had skin issues and uses a cream on her tummy. We are hopeful this will heal as its just a small area. Lola is potty trained and prefers to go outside rather than use potty pads but will use them if necessary. She gets along with the other dogs but barks a bit at newcomers. It has been a joy to watch Lola fight to overcome her ailments. Many times we thought the infections could not be contained. Lola loves car rides and walks but the barking at strangers is a bit much. She gets plenty of exercise chasing the other foster dogs. If you have room in your heart to give this this little lady the comfort she deserves for the rest of her life please come and meet her. We are hoping to find a home with a secure yard.
