They do not walk on a leash and will need to learn basic household routines from the beginning. Because of this, they are timid and shy around people but have very sweet and gentle personalities. Breeder dogs are different from dogs that have lived in a home their entire lives. They require patience, consistency, and time to adjust. Progress may be slow at first, but with structure and kindness, they can continue to gain confidence and trust.This dog will need help with house training, crate training, leash training, and general socialization. A calm and understanding home is essential. They don't understand basic household items such as mirrors, doorways, ceiling fans, televisions etc.  ##2630043##

    Meet Kathy: A Sweet,14-year-old, Cocker Spaniel Mix  At a perfect 22 pounds, this lovely senior is the picture of graceful aging - outgoing yet wonderfully calm, with a friendly wag and a bright sparkle in her eyes.   Kathy is a true gem for easy, peaceful companionship. She's crate-trained, handles alone time beautifully (no barking, chewing, or worry), and is making great progress on her potty training. She also walks nicely on a leash - perfect for short leisurely strolls.   She adores people of all ages, from men and women to young children and grandparents, and she gets along splendidly with small dogs. She's not one for constant cuddles, but her affectionate presence and happy demeanor bring warmth without demanding it.   In her golden years, Kathy dreams of a single-level home with no stairs (or just a few) where she can wander about comfortably and enjoy the simple pleasures of life by your side.    This resilient little lady has so much love left to give.     Meet Fabio Darling, a handsome, chocolate brown, senior, Cocker Spaniel mix whose gentle soul and loving heart are sure to melt yours.   This sweet, easygoing boy is the epitome of companionship. He simply adores being by your side all day long, offering quiet affection and a wagging tail that lights up any room. Fabio is wonderfully gentle with every person and dog he meets, showing no aggression or guarding tendencies whatsoever; he's just pure kindness in fur form.   Fully housebroken and polite, he'll softly whine to let you know when it's time for a potty break. His favorite pastime? Snuggling up on the couch for cozy cuddles, where he'll nestle in close and remind you how precious life's simple moments can be.   * Fabio is currently going through heartworm treatment, but can be pre adopted.
