Story
Sarg is a friendly Golden Cocker Spaniel (b. Oct 2015) and he needs a new place because his owner is ill and no longer able to care for him.  Sarg is friendly with other dogs, new people and kids of all ages.  He gets excited when visitors stop by, but will eventually settle down.  He is crate trained and sleeps in his kennel all night.  Sarg loves to play fetch and be chased as he loves to run.  A fenced yard for him would be preferred.  He is leash trained and knows a few commands.  He gets a little nervous during car rides and huddles on the floor.  He has never been around cats. Sarg enjoys a good bone to chew on now and then.  He is not afraid of thunder or fireworks at all.  Apply now for Sarg to be your new companion! The suggested adoption donation for Sarg is $365, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Introducing Frog, a Cocker Spaniel/Chihuahua mix, born April 2019.  Frog gets along with dogs, cats and older kids (age 5+).  He loves to give kisses and have a lap to sit on.  He would prefer to have another dog or cat around (his brother Casper needs a new place if you're looking for two).  The perfect home for Frog would be with someone who has time to play with him and has a fenced yard with room to run and a spot to bask in the sunshine.  Frog is crate trained, but he is not a big fan of spending time in it - he would rather hang out with you if you're home. The suggested adoption donation for Frog is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. Story
Ollie is a 5 1/2 year old Brittany Spaniel who loves being the life of the party (b. 2018). He may seem quiet at first, but once you get to know him, you'll discover that this boy is full of joy, energy, and personality! Ollie is potty trained, crate trained, and knows some commands and he'll let you know it, too! One of his favorite tricks to show off is "speak". He'll tell you when he has to go potty, when it's time for his daily walk, or when he's ready to head outside and play.  Ollie loves to run, so it's important his forever home has a fenced in yard where he can safely do so. Because he doesn't have a yard now, he confuses front doors with opportunity, and if a door is left open, he will take any opportunity to go for a nice run around town. The only thing Ollie loves more than running and exploring is his people and fur-siblings! Ollie is amazing with kids, dogs, and cats. He loves being around other people and pets so much that he gets bored when he's alone, so he'd do best in a home with another pet.  If you're looking for a spunky, loyal, and super loving boy to add to your family, apply to adopt Ollie today!  The suggested adoption donation for Ollie is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
Coco is a young Brittany Spaniel (b. June 2023) and she needs you!!  Coco is very active and energetic.  She loves her free space and runs around like crazy.  She loves to play with her toys, especially when her people play with her.  The perfect home for Coco would be with a loving family that gives her LOTS of attention.  She is still working on potty training, so she will need someone willing to help her with that.  This amazing girl is friendly to anyone, including kids and other dogs.  She would prefer to have another dog or cat around.  Coco knows some commands, but will benefit from additional training since she's so young.  If you're looking for a cuddler, Coco is your girl! The suggested adoption donation for Coco is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).
