Story
Are you looking for a life full of snuggles, laughs and doggy shenanigans?  Look no further! This little squish face fella is crashing with the pack as a foster baby! It took him a bit to come out of his shell, but now he realized the food is good, snuggles are cool, and he has become super playful getting into everything like a puppy. I guess that’s how living life in a home as a pet for the first time will make you feel! Meet Ryder! He is a 3 year old neutered male Cocker Spaniel. He is a beautiful red/gold sort of color, and he gets along with our foster's other dogs.  We think he will be fine with cats as well.  He has not been exposed to kids.  Ryder was a breeder dog so this is the first time he has lived in a home with gentle snuggles and kisses and he loves it.  He is about 20 lbs.     To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $350 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.June 4, 2026, 8:48 pm

Story
Meet Piper — A Gentle, Devoted Senior Companion Looking for a Softer, Slower Life Piper is a King Charles Cavalier/Havanese mix with a heart full of love and a lifetime of being someone’s loyal shadow. She has been cherished her whole life, and it shows in her gentle nature, her easygoing temperament, and her deep desire to simply be close to her person. As she’s gotten older, Piper has started to struggle with stairs and long walks, and the busy, active lifestyle of her current home is more than her body can comfortably keep up with. She also became noticeably sad after the passing of her canine companion, and while she gets along beautifully with other pets, she truly thrives when she has her own individual attention. Personality & Temperament Sweet, affectionate, and incredibly gentle Laploving companion who wants nothing more than to be close Dog friendly & cat friendly Stranger friendly and enjoys calm visitors Great with older children (6+); fast movements from younger kids can overwhelm her Not an excessive barker, but will alert to people at the door or things outside Kisser, cuddler, and comfortseeker Piper is the kind of dog who wants to sit beside you, follow you from room to room, and soak up every bit of affection you offer. Home Skills Housebroken  Crate trained Leash trained Easy to care for and wellmannered Her back legs shake a bit when she tries to climb onto furniture, and she’s carrying some extra weight, so a home where she doesn’t need to jump or navigate many stairs will help her stay comfortable. She is also a little hard of hearing — she hears you, but if she’s farther away, clapping your hands is a great way to get her attention, especially outdoors. The Home She Needs Piper’s ideal home is calm, steady, and full of love. She would thrive with: An older adult or retired person who wants a constant companion A home with minimal stairs Someone who enjoys short, gentle walks A person or family who appreciates a dog who wants to be near them Other pets are perfectly fine — she gets along with everyone — but she still needs her own individual attention She is not a highenergy dog. She is a heart dog, meant for someone who wants a warm, quiet presence by their side. The suggested adoption donation for Piper is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. ##2711112##

Story
Meet Toby — The Cutest Little ShihPoo With a Big Heart and Puppy Energy! Toby is a ShihPoo (Shih Tzu/Poodle mix) with all the charm, silliness, and sweetness you’d expect from a puppy. He’s loving, playful, and full of personality — the kind of pup who makes every day brighter. Why Toby Is Such a Catch Dog Friendly — Loves other dogs and enjoys having a furry friend around Stranger Friendly — Happy to meet new people Active & Energetic — Classic puppy energy, ready for fun Kisser & Cuddler — Affectionate and loves being close Knows Some Commands — Smart and eager to learn Toy Lover — Obsessed with toys and playtime Thrives With Companionship — Prefers having another dog, cat, or person around His Ideal Home Toby will thrive in a home that can offer: A fenced yard for safe puppy zoomies Plenty of playtime and activity Another friendly pet or someone home often Patience and structure as he continues learning puppy manners He’s a typical puppy — energetic, curious, loving, and still figuring out the world. He’ll blossom with someone who enjoys training, play, and lots of affection. Important Notes (Shared Positively) Toby is still young and learning. He can be toygreedy so he does best with supervised play around other pets and separate toy time if needed. He’s not mean — just a puppy who gets excited about his treasures. His current family can’t continue caring for him, so he’s looking for a home that can give him the time, attention, and consistency he deserves. What Toby Will Bring to Your Life Endless laughs Puppy kisses A loyal little shadow Joyful energy A loving companion who grows more wonderful every day Toby is ready to find a family who will adore him and help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.   The suggested adoption donation for Toby is $525, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).
