🐶🐶🐶 ADOPT ME 🐶🐶🐶
We rescued this handsome gentleman over a month ago from the despair he called life. Filthy, matted, emaciated, scared, limited vision and chained behind an abandoned home left to die. How did this happen to him we will never know. Since he’s been in foster it’s hard to believe that he even survived. It was challenging coming up with a name for him cause we wanted to name him something regal, but it just didn’t suite him. I thought of what he reminded me of and Scooby Doo popped into my head. He embodies the characteristics of the well known cartoon dog. He’s quite jovial, loyal, fun-loving with a bit of mischievous. He can be a coward at times, loves to eat, enjoys being your shadow and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Scoobs is a special dog with a heart of gold 💛 Now he needs to take the next steps in his life journey and find his family.
🐾 Scooby Stats -
🦴 He is a Cocker Spaniel, maybe 4-6 years old. He weighs in around 23 lbs, but could gain a few more.
🦴 Scooby is social with all the dogs in his foster home. His limited vision reduces his close interaction with them. He doesn’t really play with the others, but mingles well. On occasion when he is hyped up he can run into others.
🦴 He has juvenile onset cataracts. We don’t know why. It’s apparent he can see limited amounts as he doesn’t run into things around the home. We would consider him legally blind. One of his eyes may be a candidate for surgery, but we are certainly not making this a stipulation of his adoption. He’s perfectly happy the way he is.
🦴 Scoobs loves his stuffies, he’s got a lot of them. His favorite pastime is carrying them around and rolling all over them. Typical Cocker traits.
🦴 Due to his vision impairment Scooby will require a fenced yard or on leash at all times. No electric fence, tie-outs, etc.
🦴 Scooby is a very gentle boy, so loving to his person. It’s pretty amazing that he was so let down by whatever human had him, yet his willingness to love & trust shines though. He deserves a good person who can see the wonderful dog he is despite his vision. He’s an active boy, who likes to be on the move, always up for going somewhere or following you so you don’t get lost. He’s happy, playful, quirky and just a funny dude.

Scooby is current on all his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm & fecal tested and has seen a optho specialist for his eyes.
