Story
Chip, aka Chippy, is a 2 yr old Bull Terrier & Cocker Spaniel mix who weighs around 30 lbs. He is very shy with new people but if shown love and treats, he warms up and will immediately give you his belly for rubs. He loves to romp around with other dogs and his favorite thing to do is find the squeaky in a new toy. He is also very highly trained, having completed a 10 week program at Club K9 and level 1 basic obedience at Smarty Paws. Chippy had a rough start to life being brought in to the Animal Foundation at just 7 months old by a good samaritan who found him and his brother abandoned on the streets. He requires a very structured home and an experienced owner that will reinforce his training and continue building his confidence along with daily enrichment.

Story
Meet Bryce - the amazing survivor of abandonment and a maggot infestation: Bryce is a very sweet 3.5 year old buddy who has suffered through unimaginable trauma. He was found by a good Samaritan who contacted Paws Patrol, and later ended up with us. This buddy was found severely matted, dirty, and his neck was being eaten by maggots. Despite everything Bryce has been through, he remains a happy cheerful buddy. He loves attention and has shown to be good with other dogs. Bryce is currently in foster care while he continues to heal from his neck trauma. His wounds are looking great though from daily hydro-therapy, red-light therapy, and medications. When Bryce is healthy enough, he will be neutered. Bryce is available for foster-to-adopt. While in FTA care, he will still receive his medical treatments through Hearts Alive Village and all necessary supplies are provided. If you would like to set-up a meet and greet with Bryce to Foster-to-adopt, please fill out his Adoption Application and send an email to Ashley: ashley@heartsalivevillage.org

Story
Meet Chip! 🐾 Breed: Bull Terrier & Cocker Spaniel Mix Age: 2 Years Old Weight: 30 lbs (The perfect medium size!) Status: Neutered, Fully Vaccinated, Potty/Crate/Leash Trained The Lowdown on Chip Chip is a handsome, 30-lb brindle blend of Bull Terrier and Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a structured, loving home to call his own. This smart boy is a total rockstar when it comes to home manners—he is fully potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and even knows how to use a dog door! He is also an educated gent, having successfully graduated from basic obedience at Smarty Paws and behavioral modification training at Club K9. When it comes to his people, Chip is a sweet, affectionate soul. He can be a bit shy and timid at first, but once he warms up to you, he is a velcro dog who loves deeply. He also gets along well with other pups! What Chip Needs in his Forever Home Chip is a wonderful dog who just needs a specific environment to truly thrive. Because he bonds so strongly to his humans, he has a tendency to become overprotective and resource-guard his chosen person, which has led to some reactive nipping in the past when people get too close. ⚠️ Chip's Ideal Match: He needs an experienced, confident owner who can provide a structured routine, plenty of mental enrichment, and continued training. He will do best in a home that can maintain firm boundaries to help him understand he doesn't need to "protect" his handler. Quick Facts: Diet: A bit of a foodie! He loves his Open Farm Raw Mix (Beef & Fish). Skills: Knows his basic commands and is great on a leash. Quirks: Needs separate, structured feeding and high-value treat boundaries, as he can be protective of his food. If you are a dog-savvy handler looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate companion to continue guiding through life, Chip might just be your perfect match!
