Story
Meet Mr. Pickles. Mr. Pickles hasn't had an easy life. He came from a situation where he was neglected and didn't receive the care, attention, or stability that every dog deserves. Because of that, he's still learning that people can be kind, routines can be trusted, and life can be comfortable. Mr. Pickles isn't looking for a perfect home—he's looking for a patient one. The ideal adopter will understand that healing takes time. He may need extra reassurance, consistency, and grace as he continues to build confidence and learn what it means to be loved. Some days will be easier than others, and progress may come in small steps. But for someone willing to invest that time, the reward is watching a dog discover happiness and security for perhaps the first time in his life. Despite everything he's been through, Mr. Pickles has a sweet soul and a lot of love left to give. Every wag, every cuddle, and every moment of trust he offers feels earned because of the journey he's been on. Mr. Pickles is searching for someone who sees beyond where he came from and believes in where he's going. He deserves a family that will give him the time, patience, and compassion he's always deserved. Could you be the person who helps write the next chapter of Mr. Pickles' story?

Story
Meet Tallulah! This 4-year-old, approximately 13.6-pound Cocker Spaniel mix is Southern sweetness from the tips of her ears to the wag of her tail. Named after the charming southern town, Tallulah has the kind of personality that makes you understand why people say southern hospitality is a way of life.  She is an absolute sweetheart, loves making friends, and is dog friendly too. She may have a fancy name, but this girl isn't asking for much - just a soft place to land, plenty of love, and a family to call her own. On a more serious note, she will be having cataract surgery for her right eye (left when you look at her) with a veterinary ophthalmologist. The rescue will be covering the cost of the surgery. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. More information will be available during her meet and greet. Our hospital is open for adoption visitation Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00pm and Saturday's from 8:00am to 11:00am.  If you have any questions please feel free to call us at             919-266-8177 or email pets4adoption@bellsouth.net.  All adoption fees are cash or check only, we do not accept credit cards for adoption fees. To speed up the adoption process please visit our webiste, www.mmahrescue.org, to fill out an application and get pre-approved when you arrive to meet your new best friend!  Prior to meeting an adoptable animal we do require an approved application to be on file, sorry for this inconvenience.  Cat adoption fees are $50 for kittens under 16 weeks of age and $75 for kittens/cats over 16 weeks of age.  Dog adoption fees are $150 for puppies under 16 weeks of age and $175 for dogs over 16 weeks of age.
