Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
I am making this post on behalf of my disabled mother. My mother has some mobility issues and struggles with mental health while living on a very small fixed income. My mother is incapable of the type of training Deacon needs. Deacon is about 8 months old and was given to my mother by her partner with no warning or consent. Her partner got Deacon as a small puppy from a backyard breeder for free. At his insistence, she agreed to keep and care for the dog despite having little resources to provide proper vet care and training. Deacon almost instantly developed separation anxiety, and his behavior is escalating. He is anxious all the time and barks at any sound or unfamiliar car outside. He is house-trained but pulls to the point of choking when walked on a leash. He will try to chase cars and act aggressively to unfamiliar people and pets. He has great potential with the right training, but needs someone experienced with high-energy, anxious dogs.

Story
Gosh life gets hard for these wonderful dogs that had such bright starts in life but with older owners who just could go the whole 9 yards with their dogs, till death do us part.  Honey is one of those precious dogs who is just 2.5 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  We believe her to be a Cockapoo and what a lovely girl she truly is.  Her sweet mom has severe and debilitating dementia and her son has taken in this girl briefly with no help from any other children, or siblings to his mother to step forward and help.  Her son has 5 dogs himself and a few of them are bigger and very aggressive with Honey.  She is in harm's way staying there.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is stepping forward under this SOS situation and taking her to one of our fosters to hang out while we find her a younger prospective family that can carry her through to her final senior years with no interruption or disruption in who owns her.  The next home needs to be the forever and ever one.  This girl is beautiful inside and out and has a gentle spirit about her.  She is housebroken, crate trained and just doesn't understand what has just happened in her life.  The son is taking her to work with him since his pack of 5 dogs are just not predictable with her.  He doesn't want to crate her for 9 hours and so he is the best and most intelligent thing.  Hopefully Critter Cavalry Rescue can make the transport on 4/21 and she will start her journey with us to find that grand home that will soothe her confusion and will also give her a fun and adventurous life ahead.   This is a young and beautiful little girl that has not even reached her potential in life!   Please consider if you are that family with some pep in your step and the promise that you will be able to care for her to her very last breath over the next 15 years which she has the potential to live.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and know that she can be transported form Nashville, TN where she is based with our rescue and can stop along our route to the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 29, 2026, 1:14 pm

No Phone Calls. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application by going to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save our application. Fill it out and email it back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls. Meet Bud, a happy 2l pound dog friendly, 2-year-old red n white Cocker Spaniel boy. He supposedly had been re-homed 4 times in two years. Lady owner turned him into a NC shelter to be euthanized due to behavioral issues, telling the staff he barks and wails and she couldn't get him housetrained. She said she had him 4 months and never took him to a vet. The shelter thought he deserved another chance, so they got the owner to surrender him over and asked for rescue help. While here in rescue, we found that he was already microchipped. Turns out, the owner lived in Florida and moved here to NC where she just turned him into the shelter for no good reason. He is very sweet, rides well and first night at CCR he ate and slept all night with no issues. His ideal home will be with children 10 and older, a playful dog friendly companion his size and a fenced yard. At his vet appointment he was very sweet, had dirty ears, HW negative and is on the thin side needing to gain a few pounds. He is now neutered, groomed and has had a mild dental. No apartments or condos and no history with cats or kids. He will do best with someone who is home often and can offer him a consistent routine of working on leash manners, house training, his wailing issues and boost his confidence so he feels secure. He is completely vetted and ready for a forever home. We are working on house training. Adoption Fee $500

Story
*Fostered in North Charleston, SC*  Mollie is a 7(ish) year old cocker spaniel looking for her people. Don’t let her age fool you!! She is a spunky gal. She loves to go on walks, prance around the house, and wallow on any soft surface she can find. At the end of the day she loves to curl up on the couch and snooze! She is crate trained, has decent leash manners, and will do anything for food. She is also on the smaller side! A petite gal.Molly needs a home where she is the only dog. While dog social, she has resource guarding behaviors (beds, couch, toys, bones) that present within a few days of living under the same roof as another dog.************************Molly is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adoptAdoption process:Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption. ##2697958##

Text Mallory to 864-441-9075 for my full story and photos - we'll send everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Mallory came from a hoarding case, so much of the normal companion‑dog world is still new to her. She has a calm, observant nature and a gentle presence. At this time, she is somewhat aloof with humans, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, we believe she will come around and reveal her sweet, gentle side. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: Quiet, consistent routine and structured home life Exercise: Mallory would love a walk a day but does not require a lot of activities Best with: Calm routine environments where things do not change Not ideal for: Loud, constantly changing environments. Energy level: Low Mallory thrives on a solid, predictable routine and is looking for a stable, adult‑only home with no children, where her days are consistent and peaceful. She wants to curl up with a book or sit and sip her coffee in peace every morning without fail.  Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: We do not know how Mallory would do with children, but we would not recommend her for a household with young kids Cats: We don't know - if you have them ask and we can test her Fun fact: Mallory is learning about the world for the first time! Potential Adopters   Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Story
Adoption Pending: These two boys will be adopted to a forever home after they are neutered. The family is willing to wait for them until they are ready to go. No Phone Calls. If you are interested in adopting these two cocker boy brothers, please fill out an application by going to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save our application. Email your filled out application back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls. *You must have a current vet reference; previous cocker owners are a plus. This bonded pair must be adopted together. These two boys will be scheduled to be neutered in April. Meet Rip and Dutton, a bonded pair. They are sibling brothers, 5 months old with natural tails. Rip is solid red and Dutton is a reddish buff. They came to this rescue as 3 sibling brothers from a breeder where we have gotten dogs from before. Kayce got adopted to a great home weeks ago. Now, these two boys have been playing together and spending time waiting for a home too. We feel that they need to be adopted together because they have become inseparable and making a good transition to a new home will be easier on them. They will probably be about 25 to 31 pounds when full grown. Dutton is a little smaller than Rip. Their ideal home is with children 10 and older and a securely fenced yard. All three boys were started on prevention, vaccinated and micro-chipped at 17 weeks. These two are healthy, sweet, friendly, happy boys with wagging tails and they love to play. They are eating Science Diet Puppy food and doing well. Both are good eaters and do pretty well crated at night. They will need house training help, leash training and socialization with other dogs. Adoption Fee $1,000 for both puppies.
