Story
Kobe is a very loving, sensitive, cuddly 5-year-old dog who bonds deeply with his people. He loves being near you, and relaxing by your side. He has a gentle personality and thrives on routine, predictability, and calm environments. He does great with adults and would be perfect for: A retired person A couple without kids Someone working from home Someone looking for a sweet, devoted companion We recently welcomed a new baby, and he has become anxious and overwhelmed with the change. He is not aggressive, but the new noises, movements, and overall chaos have been really stressful for him. We want him to be in a home where he can truly relax and feel secure again. This decision is out of love. He deserves a calmer environment than we can provide right now. He will do best in a home that is: Child-free (no young kids or babies) Calm and predictable Able to give him attention and companionship Patient and gentle, especially with a sensitive dog Doesn't have any other pets

Bucky is a gentle 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who depends on and adores his best friend Gizmo, an 11–12-year-old Chihuahua. These two seniors lost their 90-year-old mom when she passed away, and heartbreakingly, none of her five adult children were willing to take them. The family even considered taking them to a shelter to be euthanized. We stepped in just in time to keep them safe. Bucky is completely toothless, but that doesn’t stop him from loving mealtime! He is also deaf, but he navigates life with calm confidence and looks to Gizmo for comfort and companionship. Both boys are sweet, quiet, low-maintenance, and wonderful with other dogs and cats. Because of their deep bond, they must stay together. They’ve already lost so much—being separated would be devastating. We are looking for a local foster or adopter in or near Middlesex, NC, who can offer these two a peaceful, loving home to spend their golden years side by side. If you can give Bucky and Gizmo the soft landing they deserve, please submit an application today. Email your filled out application back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls. Meet Buddy, a very cute 2-year-old, neutered Cocker Spaniel boy. He was turned into a NC shelter with the owners saying he had started nibbling at their feet, and they didn't want their grandchildren to get hurt. He lived with them for two months after getting him from someone else. This sweet boy comes from an unknown, unstable past. He needs an adult home. Absolutely no toys, no young children or small grandkids due to past bite issues which his foster rescue mom will discuss if you are approved to adopt him. He has been in 4 different homes before rescue. He came here with bilateral cherry eyes, HW & fecal status negative. A repair for his cherry eyes was done with a good recovery. He came to us very sad, dirty and needed to be cleaned up. After being groomed he came back withdrawn from too much noise and too many dogs. Best to have a patient groomer and few distractions. A new owner must listen to what we suggest. He needs to learn to trust you for an adoption to go well. He didn't know kindness, love, attention or how to handle noises until we worked with him. He can be in a home with one other Cocker Spaniel who is easy going and would love a pal. He will thrive in a home with stability, kindness and love. Someone who will work with him and not give up on him. His issues will be discussed if approved to meet him. Fenced yard a must. He is a good boy. Adoption Fee is $400.

Story
No Phone Calls. If you are interested in adopting this very sweet guy, please fill out an application by going to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save our application. Email your filled out application back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls. Hi There, My name is Jackson, but you can call me Jax. I have been looking for a new home for a number of months but so far, no luck in finding my forever home. I have been shown to several people who liked me, but they said I was too big. I am a healthy, 6 1/2-year-old Cocker Spaniel. I was surrendered to a NC Shelter with the owners saying I snapped at their young kids when they wouldn't share their food with me. This said, an adult home with children 10 and older, refresher house training and a fenced yard is best. I am a big boned, loving, friendly Cocker Spaniel boy weighing about 40 pounds. I can't help that I am a big guy, but I have a huge heart and would love someone to love me. I am heartworm negative, neutered and micro-chipped. Due to my past, no young kids in my new home but children 10 and older okay. I am a happy, affectionate guy most of the time, but I do lack some social skills from when I was younger. I have anxiety issues with grooming and riding in a vehicle is difficult when I hear loud noises. I am not a playful dog, but I would enjoy quality time with you and having a dog social companion who can be my pal. A calm, stable home with lots of quality time with me is best. I am a good boy and will become a loving companion once I get to know you. No apartments or condos. Please consider giving me a 2nd chance to have the home I deserve. Adoption fee $200 If you are unable to adopt but would like to help us care for this dog, please email us to find out how to donate.
