Sweet, gentle and wonderfully snuggly, Olive is discovering just how good family life can be — and now she’s ready for her next chapter. Olive is a beautiful 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel who spent the first part of her life as a mill dog. Because of this, many of the everyday things most dogs take for granted are still new to her. But Olive is taking it all in with a quiet curiosity and showing everyone just how resilient she is. Olive loves other dogs and looks to her foster brothers for confidence and reassurance. Having another dog around helps her understand that the world is a safe place, and she truly enjoys their company. She also loves going for walks, exploring new places is becoming one of her favourite things! Car rides are still a little scary, but once she arrives at her destination, those worries disappear and she’s happy to explore and enjoy the adventure. And this girl is smart! â¤ï¸ Despite only recently learning the routines of living in a home, potty training has come surprisingly easily. Olive caught on quickly and already lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside. For a girl who had so much to learn, she continues to impress us every day. Olive’s perfect family will understand that she doesn’t need to be rushed. She needs patience, kindness and the freedom to continue experiencing the world at her own pace. A confident canine companion will be important for Olive, giving her a best friend to follow and helping her continue to build confidence.
