Story
Hi my name is Lilly and I am looking for a gentle, patient home to call my own. My whole life I thought the world was just my kennel. Then one day I was scooped up and taken where I found out that the world is SO BIG! Everyone and everything is new to me and I am learning every minute of every day. I met some humans that actually say nice things to me in nice voices. I really have no idea what they are saying but I’m starting to pay attention a bit since the other dog and cat here seem to like them. I am quiet and gentle so I get along with the resident animals but I don’t know how to play yet so high energy friends are not for me. I like to hang out on the nice soft dog bed and just take it all in. There is so much to see and hear it can be very overwhelming! The other dog here goes out with the humans on a leash every day but I don’t go just yet. I think there is even more world out there but I’m still trying to get used to the house and yard and leash and snow and …there is a lot. I am a good girl in my crate, I don’t mess in the house and I’m not destructive. I’m told that there is someone out there who will give me time, and love while I figure it all out. So If you are my person I am here learning about the world while I’m waiting for you. **CALM AND QUIET are key.-rural FULLY-FENCED residential would be her best household*Located in Penetanguishene

***APPLICATIONS CLOSED***Hello my name is Autumn, as this is when I started my new life. I did not have it easy for the first part of my life as I was made to produce litter and litter of puppies without the love and care of humans, but my foster family have told me that those days are over and it is now time for me to finally have my own forever family to love me. I am a very quiet easy going lady who just wants the comfort of a nice spot on the couch right next to my people. Gentle touch is new to me so I am not sure how to ask for it but if you pet me I will come closer to you and be ready for as much as you want to give.*located in Guelph**Ideal for a quiet, calm home that will be patient with her fear of noise and high activity, which should improve with proper introduction.

Story
***APPLICATIONS CLOSED***Hi there, my name is Dolly and I am a four-year-old cocker spaniel girl. Up until now my life kind of sucked being a working mom doing 9 to 5 as a puppy mill breeding dog. I was super happy to retire from there and go hang out at this new house with lots of kids, a dog and two big people who won me over by feeding me rotisserie chicken! After some much needed TLC and a really nice grooming session, I look like a million bucks and my feet feel like brand new. I sleep on the main floor in my kennel at night just fine as there's a big comfy blanket in there that keeps me happy. I have been good about not pooping or peeing in the house and go down into the backyard to do my business every 4 to 6 hours. My foster house has three kids in it that I really like as long as they aren't running around like crazy people screaming. I let everybody pet me and I'm happy to take rotisserie chicken from anybody who offers it. I like the other dog in my house and I like to follow him around the backyard. I eat a cup of dry food twice a day and, so far, I've been living the good life ever since I got here. I would do best in a house with another like-minded dog who enjoys a comfy couch and a person to lay beside that would scratch my head and ears. I do pretty good on leash even though I have never been on one until about a week ago. So, I do need a little bit of work there, but I don't bark and I don't whine. My foster house has never heard me make a peep other than to lightly growl at my foster brother when he tries to take too much of my mom's time and lap space, but it was all talk and I've stopped doing that now and enjoy my foster brother dog. So, if you're looking for a chill, quiet, couch potato for a pet that just wants to snuggle, then I'm your girl!!!! *located in Aurora

Story
Meet Siren – the Sweetest Little “Special” Spaniel You’ll Ever Meet!Hello! My name is Siren—though my foster mom jokes that it might be “Siren NO!” or “Siren, stop that!” 😜You can just call me Siren.I’m a 4-month-old spaniel puppy (cocker? springer? King Charles? Who knows!) but I do know I’m 100% adorable. I’ve got long silky ears, beautiful curls, and the kind of colouring that makes people stop and smile. But let’s talk about what makes me extra special.I have a little head tilt to the right. That’s it. It doesn’t affect my balance, my mobility, or my joy for life. Most people don’t even notice! I run, play, eat, chew, zoom, and potty with zero issues. The folks at HBR ran every test possible—parvo, ear infection checks, parasites, bloodwork—and everything came back perfectly healthy. The tilt is likely from early trauma, but it’s already improved since coming into care.I’m thriving, growing, learning, and loving life. My foster mom says I’m “one of the easy ones.” ❤️She’s happy to talk to any family who wants more info about my little quirk!A Bit About My Foster LifeI currently live with:Two human kidsTwo male Boxer dogsFrequent visits from toddler humans, elderly dogs, and even a dog walker!I love everyone. Truly. The kids are awesome, the Boxers are my best friends (even the grumpy one), and I’m gentle and respectful with little ones and seniors alike. My foster mom thinks I’d do great with cats too.I am:Crate trained (110%!) – I sleep 11pm–7am quietly, and I settle during work hours with no issues.House trained – a solid 9/10, with the occasional normal puppy moment.Zero prey drive – birds, bunnies, cats? Meh.Quiet, clean, and wonderfully mannered for a puppy.Bomb-proof with noise and chaos thanks to kids + Boxers. Not destructive and no separation anxiety.I love toys, snow, exploring the yard, leaning against humans, and cuddling. I adore being carried—even if I dip a little to the right. 😉And yes, I love food. I’m a spaniel. It’s tradition. What I’m Looking ForHonestly? I can fit into almost any loving home.Environment:Suburban, rural, farm, or city — I’m good with all.Apartment, condo, semis, or detached — no problem.Family type:Young kids, teens, no kids — great.Seniors — as long as they’re active enough for a puppy.Active, mellow, or in between — I’ll match your pace. With pets or without — I’m flexible, but if I’m the only dog, I’ll need proper socialization.I get along with any species!Needs:Normal puppy exercise, enrichment, and continued basic training.I can eventually stay home for a workday, but right now I’m used to 3-hour stretches. No dog parks please — they’re risky, and I’m small and gentle.Training & SkillsI know:“Siren, NO!”“Siren, come.”“Off.”And I’m eager to learn more!No leash aggression, no guarding, no reactivity — I’m a truly kind-hearted pup.Health & CareI’m currently eating Performatrin Puppy (lamb) with no issues. No known allergies.Getting neutered Dec 16 and will be ready to start planning my future right after! In Short…I am a joyful, gentle, sweet, slightly-tilty spaniel puppy who loves life, loves people, loves dogs, and loves to learn. I’m healthy, happy, and ready for a family who will adore me as much as I’ll adore them.I can’t wait to meet you. ❤️*located in Angus
