Story
Bandit is a loving boy! He loves attention and snuggles. He is very loyal and loves his belly rubs. He spends his time sunbathing in the spring/ summer and for winter is still curious about snow. He does have some anxiety since I had originally adopted him from the shelter. He was a little more on the aggressive side when I first got him but has since opened up. He loves moms and dads snuggle sessions but he does have a hard time adapting to changes. I had originally adopted Bandit to be a companion for my 8 year old cocker spaniel. Bruno has since passed and bandit was having a hard time with change. He does well with kids (8 years and older), he doesn’t like to play as much due to age and being considered a senior.

Story
2.5 years old Al is Full of Love and Personality 🐾💙 A month ago, Al was rescued from a high kill shelter where he surrendered by his previous family, who had adopted him from the same shelter when he was a baby. Al is now looking for a forever home where he can play fetch, follow his human and just be a happy pup that he is. Al is a bit timid but incredibly loving. He thrives on affection and is happiest soaking up attention from his people. He loves toys—especially fetch—and will gladly be your playtime buddy before curling up on the couch for some well-earned snuggles. He currently lives with his best buddy Joe, who he met at the shelter and became besties with. It will be great if they can go home together, but they are not bonded. A home with or without other pups is fine for him as long as he gets the love he craves for. Al is Potty trained & crate trained. He knows some basic commands. He is not a barker (except when the UPS truck stops by) and he is Very food motivated (great for training!) Al is affectionate, people-friendly pups who enjoy being around their humans. After playtime, they’re happy to relax on the couch and just be part of the family. Al is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated pup who iskept on heartworm and flea preventatives. They are currently being fostered in Houston but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Al is able to go home as a solo pup but if you’re looking for a pair that brings both fun energy and sweet companionship, Al and Joe are your perfect match. Keeping them together means giving them—and yourself—the best of both worlds. Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. To meet this sweet boy via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Their adoption fee include all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, and a high quality collar, harness and leash. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
