Story
Gosh life gets hard for these wonderful dogs that had such bright starts in life but with older owners who just could go the whole 9 yards with their dogs, till death do us part.  Sugar Babe is one of those precious dogs who is just 2.5 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  We believe her to be a Cockapoo and what a lovely girl she truly is.  Her sweet mom has severe and debilitating dementia and her son has taken in this girl briefly with no help from any other children, or siblings to his mother to step forward and help.  Her son has 5 dogs himself and a few of them are bigger and very aggressive with Sugar Babe.  She is in harm's way staying there.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is stepping forward under this SOS situation and taking her to one of our fosters to hang out while we find her a younger prospective family that can carry her through to her final senior years with no interruption or disruption in who owns her.  The next home needs to be the forever and ever one.  This girl is beautiful inside and out and has a gentle spirit about her.  She is housebroken, crate trained and just doesn't understand what has just happened in her life.  The son is taking her to work with him since his pack of 5 dogs are just not predictable with her.  He doesn't want to crate her for 9 hours and so he is the best and most intelligent thing.  Hopefully Critter Cavalry Rescue can make the transport on 4/21 and she will start her journey with us to find that grand home that will soothe her confusion and will also give her a fun and adventurous life ahead.   This is a young and beautiful little girl that has not even reached her potential in life!   Please consider if you are that family with some pep in your step and the promise that you will be able to care for her to her very last breath over the next 15 years which she has the potential to live.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and know that she can be transported form Nashville, TN where she is based with our rescue and can stop along our route to the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 21, 2026, 9:05 pm

Story
This adorable, light on her feet, tiny little girl is called Lilly and she is a pure bred Cavapoo that was born 6/18/2019 and weighs 14 pounds. As you can see from the pictures she loves to jump high in the air for treats and her smile makes your heart just pitter patter with joy.  She is a velcro girl that will make you feel like you are the center of her universe and wherever you go she wants to go also.  She is housebroken and does not have to be crated when left home alone.  She would love to be adopted with her brother Jax but it is not a requirement.  Jax is 24 pounds and they do love each other.   If you have another dog already in the home then Lilly can certainly adjust to a new friend and buddy.   Lilly was originally bought with Jax to be the dog children of a woman who has fallen on tough times and has had to move to a 'no-pets allowed' apartment building.  Her mom has taken then in and is working together with Critter Cavalry Rescue to find the best new forever homes for each one...together or separate.  You can be assured this little darling is wonderful with other dogs, (cats not known)  and certainly never meets a stranger.  Lilly is so smart and she taps on the door to let you know that she wants to go outside for a potty break. Good on a leash, she would be a charming companion for neighborhood walks any time of day.  This totally healthy, happy and harmonious spirit of a girl is ready to pack her bags and take the journey to next adventure in life.  Could she be coming to you?  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 21, 2026, 9:05 pm

Story
This handsome apricot guy with the best smile of the week, is called Jax and he is a pure bred Cavapoo that was born 6/18/2019 and weighs 24 pounds. As you can see from the pictures he loves to pose for the camera and always seems to be wearing a happy smile for all to enjoy.  These wonderful smiles make your heart feel that you are his most important person in the room. This guy is your shadow all day if you let him be your sidekick. You will be the center of his world and he will love running errands, going on neighborhood adventures and he will be a great walking partner during these upcoming Spring days and warm Summer evenings. Wherever you go he wants to go also.  Jax needs a schedule for outside pottybreaks and he is really good at going when you want. We don't think he will need a crate when you are gone for short times but longer ones a crate would be necessary. He would love to be adopted with his sister Lilly  but it is not a requirement. Lilly is 14 pounds and they do love each other.  If you have another dog already in the home then Jax can certainly adjust to a new friend and dog pal.  Jax and Lilly originally were bought to be the dog children of a woman who has fallen on tough times and has had to move to a 'no-pets allowed' apartment building.  Her mom has taken then in and is working together with Critter Cavalry Rescue to find the best new forever homes for each one...together or separate.  You can be assured this little darling is wonderful with other dogs, children, (cats not known)  and he certainly never meets a stranger. Jax is an easy going boy that is so smart and mannerly. Good on a leash, he would be a charming companion for neighborhood walks any time of day.  This totally healthy, happy and harmonious spirit of a boy is ready to pack his bags and take the journey to the next big adventure in his life.  Could he be coming to you?  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 21, 2026, 9:05 pm

Story
Ziggy was lovingly cared for by an elderly woman who was no longer able to meet his needs. We stepped in to care for him, but due to significant changes in our personal lives and demanding schedules, we are no longer able to provide the time and attention he deserves. He is a very calm, laid back 14 year old senior dog who is low maintenance and simply enjoys companionship and a peaceful environment. We are hoping to find him a stable, loving home where he can comfortably enjoy his golden years.
