Story
Hi! My name is Blitz and I'm super pumped to be here. I've got quite a lot of energy, but that doesn't make me a bad boy - it's actually quite the opposite. I'm quite the loverboy and can't wait to soak up all the attention from you and anyone else around you. I'm also very smart - I seem to have known quite a few tricks before I was found and can't wait for the chance to refresh them. I'd love an active family to go home with and being an agility partner or trick dog would be an added bonus. I want somewhere I can work my mind out but wouldn't mind some dog or kid friends to play with. We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Story
Hi I'm Shelby! I'm bonded with my brother, Austin. We landed at the county shelter when one of our humans passed away and the family was unable to care for us. Luckily, GRHS quickly swooped in and now we are crashing on a temp foster's couch. (We are still looking for a foster home!) We are the best houseguests and perfect gentlemen! We LOVE our crates and were crate trained in our previous home. We also LOVE to play outside (Fetch is LIFE!) and are learning how to use a dog door. We love cuddling with our humans, playing fetch, and cuddling some more. We get along great with the other friendly dogs in our foster home and don't seem to mind the kitty who roams around when we are sleeping. We have GREAT recall, are incredibly well trained, and our manners will blow you away! Although we are middle-aged (8yo) and slightly frosted, we would love to have an active family! Someone who likes to take us on daily walks or even occasional hikes would be wonderful! As Border Collies, we tend to be quite active until our super senior years. Staying active will keep us young! We haven't had too much experience being in a car, so we tend to get a little nervous (We just shake a little), but we can definitely warm up to being adventure dogs if we are exposed to it more often! In the home, we are pretty mellow and like to lounge - especially after we've had our daily walk! At this time, these bonded boys will not be attending adoption events as they have been a little nervous in busy situations. Please submit an adoption application and we will be sure to have their foster family reach out to schedule a meet and greet! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Story
Hope is an affectionate Australian cattledog /German short-haired pointer mix. She has been recovering from a concussion she received from a vehicle accident. She is slightly challenged when walking, however she can still run full speed for short distances. Her optimal life would include continued training, shorter walks in cooler weather, playing food and toy games for enrichment, and living indoors with her favorite person or family. She is currently fostered in a quiet home with 2 cats and no other dogs. She is potty trained and crate trained. She may prefer to be the only dog due to her loyalty to people. She will need calm guidance in new environments. She is lower energy and quiet in the morning, but will need small sessions of activity and engagement throughout the day due to her "working-breed" temperament. She would be a great fit for someone who would continue to help her learn new things and enrich her life through new experiences. She always wants to be by your side and will need a trusted loving leader for companionship and guidance. We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries!
