A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY CONVERSATION ABOUT ADOPTING FROM OUR ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE GO TO www.colliesheltierescue.org AND READ ABOUT THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS (GOOD PHONE INTERVIEW WITH OUR DIRECTOR, SECURELY FENCED YARD, FABULOUS REFERENCE FROM YOUR VETERINARIAN AND A HOME VISIT.  I KNOW THAT IS A LOT BUT WE SCREEN CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS.  THEY DESERVE IT! This lovely girl is Scarlett, a four-year-old spayed female tri-headed white rough Collie.  (That is a mouthful!)  Her white silky fur blows gently with a breeze and her sincere brown eyes watch you wherever you go.  She came to us as an owner relinquishment from the family of a woman who died unexpectedly in Kansas. She enjoys the company of other dogs, as well as cats.  She has gone from her beloved owner to being locked outside, taken by car to a foster home in Wichita and moved to Colorado to another foster home.  Poor kid!  Dogs are such creatures of routine and her routine was totally disrupted and confused.  But Scarlett will make herself at home shortly with lots of handling and cuddling.  That is the basic nature of our remarkable Collie dogs. To truly enjoy her life, Scarlett needs the company of at least one other companionable dog. Another Collie would be just heavenly.  She really enjoys a game of rough and tumble and likes to have company to go outside and go potty, as well.  Her best human friends seem to be women but her foster dad is a close second to foster mom Pat.  She went for a jaunt to our local farm and ranch store, Big R, yesterday and greeted everyone that walked past.  We discovered she likes kids from babies on up in age.  So there could be children in her future.  Because Scarlett is a busy girl, she would prefer to be a constant companion to her people. Left to her own devices, she could be looking for things to keep busy with. Scarlett has been brought up to date on vaccines. Her bloodwork is great and she is heartworm negative and microchipped.  That is all the veterinary care she needs for the next year. What she needs is time to figure out what has happened in her life and how to make the best of her time forward. Previous Collie experience is a must.  I know she would love you.  If you would promise her forever.  Let's talk.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:12 am

Story
Ollie is a 2.5MO puppy weighing about 12lbs.  We are guessing he will be about 45-60lbs when full grown.  Ollie ended up at the shelter with his sister when they were only a couple weeks out.  While they were found as "strays" it was clear they had been dumped at a pretty common dumping area in Kansas.  Ollie and his sister, Breezy,  are very lucky someone found them in time.   Ollie and Breezy are wonderful little puppies.  They are very social, happy, loving, and super smart.  They are making great strides on potty training already. They are doing great with the fosters kiddos and other dogs.  They love to romp around the house and are always curious to follow the foster around to see what she is doing.  They love to explore and learn new thing.  Once they have worn themselves out with fun activities they love nothing more than to snuggle up with their wonderful human fosters, or the other doggos in the home.  The fosters have been doing great with socializing Breezy and Ollie.  As long as they continue to learn from their forever families they will be wonderful, smart dogs. If you are interested in adopting Breezy or Ollie, please fill out our adoption application at brigherdaysdogrescue.com ##2673561##

Story
Watson is a playful dog that loves playing fetch and ball more than anything. He gets along really well with our two dogs, fully potty trained, and not possessive of food or toys. When bedtime comes he hops up on the foot of the bed and stays there quietly until morning. Loves walks and cuddles.

Story
Gabby | Collie–Lab Mix | 21 lbs   Meet Gabby, a sweet and loving 8-month-old Collie–Lab mix who is ready to find her forever family. Gabby has a gentle, affectionate nature and truly loves being close to her people. She’s happiest when she can see her person nearby and will gladly trade kisses and cuddles for a few belly rubs.   Gabby is wonderful with kids and does great with other dogs. She’s a friendly, easygoing girl who enjoys being part of the family and fits in nicely with the people and pups around her.   Like any young pup, Gabby has a playful side too. She loves toys (especially the noisy ones!) and will happily entertain herself, but she also loves interactive playtime and gets especially silly when she’s having fun with you. Her perfect day includes walks, treats, toys, and lots of quality time with her humans.   Gabby walks nicely on leash and stays calm when other dogs are nearby. She’s alert but not barky and very manageable. She knows her name, understands “no,” and can already “sit” and “shake.” She’s a smart girl who is eager to learn and will thrive with continued guidance and love.   She’s comfortable going in and out of a fenced patio door and will often choose to relax in her crate or cozy bed when she wants downtime. When left alone for about an hour she did get into a sheet, so she will do best with a little structure as she continues building confidence and routine.   Gabby’s foster describes her as obedient, gentle, and incredibly sweet. She loves to play, loves to cuddle, and is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her family.   Gabby is truly a special girl who deserves a loving home where she can grow, play, and be someone’s loyal best friend.   LOLA'S Rescue    www.lolasrescue.com/donate Venmo: @LOLASRESCUECO PayPal: Info@lolasrescue.com Cashapp: $LolasRescue Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com/available-animals please note if you utilize an Iphone there are two scroll bars on the side of the screen to scroll down through available animals.   You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2661811##

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Chencha finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Chencha | 3-Year-Old Collie/German Shepherd Mix | 40 lbs of Energy and Heart Chencha is a stunning 40-pound Collie/German Shepherd mix with a playful personality and an enormous heart. At three years old, she’s a high-energy, affectionate girl who loves being as close to her people as possible — paws in your lap, head under your hand, ready for pets at all times. She is almost fully house trained and understands that potty time happens outside. She’ll stand by the door to let you know she needs to go and does best with a consistent schedule. Chencha is kennel trained and settles after a little initial whining. She can experience some FOMO when left alone but relaxes once she adjusts. Chencha thrives on activity and would do best in a very active home with a securely fenced yard. She loves running, playing, and especially romping with other energetic dogs. A daily jog, hike, or long game of fetch would be right up her alley. After a good play session, she’s happy to sploot and recharge. On leash, she’s still building confidence and working through some reactivity, but she improves as the walk continues and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement. Chencha can also be vocal, especially when she’s excited or alerting to something, so she would not be a good fit for apartment living. A single-family home with space to move and play would be ideal for her. She enjoys toys, tug-of-war, chew bones, water play, and brushing. Because of her enthusiastic (and sometimes clumsy) play style, she would likely do best with older children. Chencha is ready for a patient, active, loving family who will continue helping her grow in confidence while embracing her joyful, silly spirit. In return, she’ll bring nonstop fun, loyalty, and plenty of impressive sploots.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
