I am a low energy, quiet medium sized older gentleman who walks nicely on leash and ignores approaching stray cats. In shelter playgroups, I enjoy interacting with other calm puppy pals, and I like to come up to my people friends for a pet or a scratch. I am older, and a little slow to rise, and because I can be a little unsure of being lifted I may be best in a home where any children are old enough to know how to interact with an older pup. Rosco is the ultimate best of both worlds dog. At 8 years old, he has mastered the art of being a quiet, gentle lounger in the house, but don`t let his mature age fool you—he still has plenty of goofy, playful puppy energy left in the tank! He is an absolute social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, whether they are big or small. His absolute favorite hobbies include running around outside(rain or shine), playing a good game of fetch, and engaging in epic tug-of-war battles with his canine pals. He has happily lived with kids ranging from 5 to 15 years old. He is incredibly affectionate and has been a loyal bedtime companion. He is completely potty trained and a crate superstar. He is well-behaved on a leash and makes the perfect weekend sidekick.

While initially not very responsive, as he has improved medically Stewie has let his silly personality shine despite his impairments. Stewie would benefit from a foster home or rescue partner who can dedicate time to his rehabilitation and ongoing care.
