Meet Tumbes, a beautiful 2-year-old Collie/Hound mix who came to Big Dog Ranch from the Fitzgerald Humane Society in Georgia along with his five siblings and mom—all of whom have been adopted. Now it's Tumbes’ turn to find the right home where he can truly thrive. He has been adopted before but was returned because he struggled to get along with the children in the home. Because of this, Tumbes will do best in a calm, adult-only environment with a patient, experienced owner—especially someone familiar with hound or herding breeds. Tumbes is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play with toys, and go for walks. He’s already learned his basic commands and walks well on a leash. While he can be dog selective, he does enjoy the company of the right canine friends. Cats, however, are not a good fit for this guy due to his strong prey drive. Though he may be shy or reserved at first, once he warms up to you, Tumbes becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling and one-on-one time. Tumbes is looking for a stable, understanding home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a loyal and energetic best friend. Could that be with you?

Meet Shelly! 🐾Shelly is one of Baby Love’s puppies, and this sweet girl has grown into a fun-loving, energetic pup with a BIG personality—and some very strong herding instincts! Shelly loves to run, chase, wrestle, and keep busy. She recently returned to H.A.L.O. after her adoptive home found that she played a little too rough with their small dog and had a habit of chasing and nipping at their toddler. While she wasn’t the right fit for that home, Shelly does wonderfully with larger dogs and older children who can keep up with her and hold their own! Because of her strong herding tendencies and high energy, Shelly will do best with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, training, and appropriate outlets for her natural instincts. She’s smart, affectionate, playful, and still has plenty of puppy growing and learning to do!If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion who will keep you laughing—and on your toes—Shelly might be your girl! ❤️Requirements: Martingale Collar; No Small Dogs or Young ChildrenAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
