Story
Meet Tumbes, a beautiful 2-year-old Collie/Hound mix who came to Big Dog Ranch from the Fitzgerald Humane Society in Georgia along with his five siblings and mom—all of whom have been adopted. Now it's Tumbes’ turn to find the right home where he can truly thrive. He has been adopted before but was returned because he struggled to get along with the children in the home. Because of this, Tumbes will do best in a calm, adult-only environment with a patient, experienced owner—especially someone familiar with hound or herding breeds. Tumbes is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play with toys, and go for walks. He’s already learned his basic commands and walks well on a leash. While he can be dog selective, he does enjoy the company of the right canine friends. Cats, however, are not a good fit for this guy due to his strong prey drive. Though he may be shy or reserved at first, once he warms up to you, Tumbes becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling and one-on-one time. Tumbes is looking for a stable, understanding home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a loyal and energetic best friend. Could that be with you?

Hey there, I'm Snoopy 5056! 🐕 I'm a 9-month-old Poodle-Collie mix with a striking white coat and adorable black ears — and I'm ready to go. I've got plenty of energy and love playing with other dogs, so a home where I can run and explore would be perfect for me. I'm gentle and loyal, and while I'm still learning the ropes, I'm eager to bond with my person. Come meet me and let's start an adventure together! 💕

Adopt sweet Pebbles! 🐾 She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog mix and she is truly something special. Pebbles is incredibly smart, loyal, and eager to please. She loves playing ball, staying curious, and engaging with her people. At around 35 lbs, she’s also a wonderful walking companion—she never pulls on the leash and makes every walk a joy. She has excellent manners, is gentle when taking treats, and doesn’t get on furniture, making her an easy and respectful house guest. She is the kind of dog that brings calm, love, and fun all in one perfect little package. 💛

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Layla 3 year old located in Deltona, FL. Layla's Perfect Forever Home ❤️ Layla has overcome so much, and now she's ready to find the family she truly deserves. Her Story ➡️❤️ Layla (A593221) came to us from a local shelter after she was brought in as a stray and never reclaimed. She was adopted...and returned. Then adopted again...and returned a second time. As the shelter became overcrowded, Layla was at risk of euthanasia because she wasn't able to be paired with another dog in a kennel. That's when TLC Animal Rescue stepped in. Since entering foster care, we've learned that Layla wasn't a 'problem dog'—she simply needed the right environment and someone willing to understand her. About Layla • Approximately 3 years old • 53 pounds (she looks smaller in photos!) • Best guess: Wire Fox Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog mix • Spayed • Heartworm negative • Crate trained • Potty trained • Dog friendly • Microchipped • Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Layla is an incredibly smart, playful, and energetic girl. She absolutely loves toys, enjoys learning, and thrives when her mind and body are engaged. Tug toys, balls, walks, adventures, and training sessions are her favorite things! While Layla enjoys being with her people, she is not a lap dog. She's much happier playing, exploring, solving puzzles, and being part of an active lifestyle than spending hours cuddling on the couch. Her ideal home would include: An active family A securely fenced yard (not required) where she can safely run and play Daily exercise and mental enrichment ⏰ A family where she won't routinely be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time One thing we absolutely love about Layla is her temperament. She has shown no aggression toward people or other dogs. She greets new people with a wagging tail, has done wonderfully with men and women, remained calm during thunderstorms, and continues to amaze us with how quickly she learns. She's affectionate in her own way, incredibly loyal, and eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing. We'll be completing cat testing and kid testing soon and will share those results as they become available. We're committed to making sure Layla's third adoption is her forever one. After everything she's been through, she deserves a family that understands her, embraces her playful spirit, and will love her for exactly who she is. Could you be the family she's been waiting for? Located in Deltona, Florida Apply to adopt: www.tlcarescue.com (click the Adopt tab) Please share to help us find Layla the forever home she's waited so patiently for. Her perfect family is out there—we just need to help them find her. ❤️ #AdoptLayla #TLCAnimalRescue #RescueDog #SecondChances #AdoptDontShop #ForeverHomeWanted #FloridaDogs #WireFoxTerrierMixVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 12, 2026, 7:30 pm
