Story
My wife got him in France when she was studying abroad. It we trained him up and would always take him for long walks and go to the dog park. But 3 kids later and it's different to make time for him. He need someone who can give him the energy he needs. He's great with children and live stock but gets a little freaked out when on the leash around other dogs. He loves to cuddle and snuggle and will just melt in your lap. He's fully house broken and know the basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, bed) we love him dearly but to give him a better life we've decided he needs a new home.

Story
Energetic, loyal dog looking for a home with space to run and someone to play with! Since having a child and with no fenced yard, we haven't been able to give him the time he needs. He knows basic commands (fetch, shake, lay down) and responds well to a training collar with beeps and treats. Not leash-trained he gets anxious on walks, especially around other dogs. He'll bark and pull until he meets them, then just wants to play. Never aggressive, but the buildup can be stressful for him. Great off-leash at dog parks and has done well with dogs he's been introduced to. He's curious around cats and may try to herd them, occasionally nipping during feeding time. Not aggressive toward kids, but may knock over small children while playing; best for a home with teens or adults. He's a sweet, playful boy with a lot of love and energy to give, just needs the right fit and environment to thrive.

These pups are in Boise, Idaho too!

Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels WASABI is a ~2-year-old, 31-lb long-haired, medium-sized pup with gorgeous eyes that is a mix likely of red heeler, kelpie, and shepherd. Because of his new surroundings, WASABI is very anxious and will need time, love and a quiet home to feel comfortable. He is too nervous for walks right now, but has the potential to be a loyal companion once he feels safe and secure. We can't wait to see the transformation in this pup once he has time to decompress in his new environment ! WASABI is quiet in the kennel and seems to be potty trained. He rides well in a car. WASABI will be current on his health vaccines, and will be neutered and microchipped for his forever family. Story
Little Rylen is close to 3 years old and looking for his very own family! Rylen joined our rescue when he was found as a stray. He had a previous leg injury that was likely from being hit by a car, but it doesn't bother him at all. Rylen loves to play with other dogs and bounces around like the happy puppy that he is. He has a wonderful play style and is very respectful to other dogs. He's very energetic and needs exercise. Unfortunately he has been returned to us only for that reason, so it's important that having something to do, and an energy outlet is a constant in his future. He is a dog that wants and needs to be involved in his owner's life. He loves to learn and is super proud of himself when he nails something new. He will be the perfect match for someone that loves running in the foothills, mountain biking, walking the greenbelt, can take their dog to work, or is simply committed to getting him some daily exercise. After his morning walk, he is a low energy guy who is happy to lay around the house. He is crate trained and comfortable in his kennel. Neuter, current vaccines, and microchip included in his adoption fee. Please start with the adoption form: freedomboundhounds.com/adopt Rylen is based in Boise, but is available for direct adoption throughout the PNW with transport included at no extra charge.

Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels WEST LEE is a ~2-year-old, 32-lb long-haired, medium-sized pup with gorgeous eyes that is a mix likely of red heeler, kelpie, and shepherd. Thank you to dedicated volunteer Gail Hughes who is giving our adoptable boy WEST LEE a temporary foster home with other big dogs so that he can recover from neuter surgery. We’ve learned so much more about him! WEST LEE walks well on leash in the yard and just ignores the friendly Shar Pei female when she is out with him. He knows ‘go potty’ when out in the yard. He does well in vehicles too. WEST LEE has just about mastered the “sit” command. We are still working on “paw” command and recall. Of course, all of those commands are ineffective if a squirrel is spotted! We suspect high prey drive. WEST LEE is learning to play—likes crinkle toys. He is usually unaffected by TV noise when laying beside his people on the couch, but will turn away and hide his eyes and nose in the blanket when it is too loud. He is still cautious around people when they are walking around. He seems to like cooler environments (pants to cool off if on cushy blanket). He loves scratches on his ears, chin and neck. He enjoys rub-downs with a towel to dry off. He is quiet (no barking), but has shared a cute Dolphin squeek. WEST LEE is not yet perfect…He sneaks balls of yarn out of project baskets. He has been caught counter surfing when there was some dog food left out. WES LEE will be current on his health vaccines, and will be neutered and microchipped for his forever family.
