Story
Friendly Lucy is a medium sized pup that loves to snuggle and play. Lucy joined our rescue as a stray in rough condition. She was covered in mange and had a previously broken leg that was too healed to do surgery on. She has been thriving in foster care for months and is finally ready for adoption. Lucy spends her days playing with her foster siblings in the yard, and following her foster mom around the house. She is fostered with several cats and dogs. The vet guesses that she is around 1-2 years old. Spay, microchip, and current vaccines all included in her adoption fee. Please start with the adoption application: freedomboundhounds.com/adopt

Story
Obe was born on Halloween in 2022. I got him from a breeder in Ash Fork, AZ. Obe is good with other dogs. He goes to House of Hounds dog day care in Boise and gets lots of play time with all breeds of dogs. He is mouthy are toddlers. He gets a little anxious around the 2-5yr olds. Obe is great in the car and has about 40 flights under his belt so far. He has travel with me since about 6 months old. He is a phenomenal flyer. Fits under the seat from first class to main economy. I love Obe so much and he is such an amazing dog, it breaks my heart I have to part ways with my best friend. My new position at work requires quite a bit international travel and longer hours. It is not fair to him to be boarded a lot. He has a lot of energy so a yard is a plus. He love to swim in rivers, go on hikes and walks. Enjoys camping, playing fetch and definitely tug of war. No allergies that I know of. Dr. Woodington in Eagle is his primary vet. If you would like to hear more please let me know.

Story
Meet Buddy, Buddy is a 1.6 year old Australian Cattle Dog blend. He weighs 63 pounds. Buddy is Participating in our Adopt From Home program, here is what his owner has to say about him,"Hi, meet Buddy! He is a Heeler Mix and as loving as can be! He is the most loyal dog I have ever seen and loves to be included in everyday activities. He has been a blessing to have as a sidekick but unfortunately, I'm going to have some work changes that won't allow me to see him as often as I should. So hopefully he can become your new sidekick! I adopted the dog about 5 months ago from West Valley Humane Society, very little is known about him such as age and breed and is primarily a heeler mixed with another breed. He has been great around all people but does not seem to like other male dogs at first. After acclimating him and another male dog together they did fine but at first, it seems they don't wanna get along. He has done great with female dogs though! He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, shake hands, stay, and roll over and he does amazing in the house! He does not like to be left alone though. He has gotten used to the outdoor kennel I have for him (which I'll give to you if you'd like it) and whenever I have to go somewhere that's where he stays. Overall he has been a great dog to have around and know someone will love to have him! Please let me know if you'd like to come see him, he'd love to see you! My number is (707)-951-4670"Buddy will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.Buddy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today. If you are interested in meeting Buddy, please reach out to Tanner at (707)-951-4670

Story
Daniel Daly is a hero as he was named. Found in a really bad section of Houston running with only three legs until he collapsed this boy almost died. Turns out his front leg was shot. Massively infected, aged injury we had no choice but to remove it. In addition he was starved, weak and infected he had a battle to survive and that he did! His surgery cal site is healed and to see him move you would not know this boy is a front leg tri pod. Smart sweet and loving. He is very talented! When we say smart.... hmm.. it’s smart! He would thrive e with a person that loved to train! This boy would pull ribbons from obedience trails if given the opportunity whenever entered! He loves children. He enjoys cuddling. You really will get a special dog if you adopt Daniel Daly.

Story
Meet Chocolate! This sweet little girl was born under an abandoned house when her stray mom looked for the safest place to have her babies. Rescuers immediately recognized what was going on and took them all into foster care. Chocolate has spent her entire life with her mom and siblings learning to play and socialize in foster care. They're fostered with other dogs, cats, and kids. She has been handled and snuggled a lot! We aren't sure what her mix is, but we suspect she will be a smaller-medium, short haired mix. Her mom is 25-30 lbs. Chocolate will be ready for adoption on 9/14. Spay, microchip, and current vaccines all included in the adoption fee, please start with the adoption application. Story
I adopted Poppy when she was about 4 months old. She is just in love with every human she meets. Although very wiggly, she is wonderful with kids. She loves to give lots of kisses and is a cuddling champion. She has congenital deafness, but that doesn't stop her from loving life. She has had professional training and with hand signals is very attentive and loves to learn. She is also very treat responsive. LOVES treats. She is spayed, microchipped and UTD on vaccines. In short, she is extremely lovable which is why this is so devastatingly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, she and her long time buddy just can't get along anymore. She has been a dog that resource guards and despite my best efforts it has only worsened over the past few months. I believe that her and her buddy now have littermate syndrome and my only option is to separate them permanently. She really needs to be in a home where she is the only pet. I will only adopt with a home check, I love her tremendously.

Story
Murphy is such a sweet soul. He turned 2 in July, is a Mini Aussie and weighs 28 pounds. We adopted him at 10 weeks old. We just do not have the time and attention for him that he deserves after having a second baby. He is very patient and loving with our little ones and loves meeting other pups. He is full of energy, and tennis balls are his favorite!
