Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Here's Pickles. **Meet Pickles!** 🐾 If we had to sum Pickles up in one word, it would be *spunky*! This high-energy little guy is always ready to play, run, and explore until he finally crashes into a well-earned nap. Pickles brings joy and enthusiasm to everything he does — whether it’s chasing a toy or bouncing around the yard. He’s doing great with his kennel training and is picking up basic commands quickly — this pup is smart and eager to learn! While Pickles can be a little shy at first when meeting new people or animals, don’t let that fool you. Once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal shadow, happily following you wherever you go. Pickles is looking for a patient, loving home that can match his energy and give him the time he needs to build trust. In return, you’ll get a devoted best friend with a playful heart and a whole lot of personality. Are you ready for a spunky sidekick? Pickles is waiting to meet you! 💙🐾

Story
**Currently in a foster home** Hi I’m Reed! I’m a 1 year old Border Collie mix ISO my new home! I’m a medium size at 48 lb but I’m a bundle of love, fun and energy! Squeaky toys and chew toys are my faves and I will make you laugh with my wiggly butt antics! I’m crate trained and love to go for walks and rides in the car. I can also live well with other dogs (after a proper introduction) but my energy level might be too much for an older dog - I’d do best with a friendly young doggy playmate that also loves to wrestle, run, and tumble! I’m not good with cats though, and since I arrived at IACS as a stray not much is known about my early upbringing. I am in a foster home to practice my manners - we are working on watching my mouthiness, jumpiness, and desire to chew things. However, my foster mom says I do a really good job of listening well, trying to be a good boy, and staying close and helping when we’re doing yard work. And, best of all, she tells me I will grow into an outstanding citizen after I get through the energy of my puppy years! My perfect home would be an active one that can take me for lots of walks and then snuggle for kisses! I come with a Home Scholarship that includes two free in-home training sessions sponsored by Friends of IACS!!Ready to meet this great guy? Because Reed is currently in a foster home an appointment must be made to meet him!
