Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Here's Pickles. **Meet Pickles!** 🐾 If we had to sum Pickles up in one word, it would be *spunky*! This high-energy little guy is always ready to play, run, and explore until he finally crashes into a well-earned nap. Pickles brings joy and enthusiasm to everything he does — whether it’s chasing a toy or bouncing around the yard. He’s doing great with his kennel training and is picking up basic commands quickly — this pup is smart and eager to learn! While Pickles can be a little shy at first when meeting new people or animals, don’t let that fool you. Once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal shadow, happily following you wherever you go. Pickles is looking for a patient, loving home that can match his energy and give him the time he needs to build trust. In return, you’ll get a devoted best friend with a playful heart and a whole lot of personality. Are you ready for a spunky sidekick? Pickles is waiting to meet you! 💙🐾

Story
Red is the definition of a quiet soul who simply needs someone willing to let him move at his own pace. The world has felt a little overwhelming lately, but every day he shows that trust is something he wants to build. With familiar people, Red has made remarkable progress. Volunteers who have spent time with him report that he now allows leashing, handling, and even being picked up, all because they earned his confidence by respecting his boundaries. He doesn`t ask for much, just patience, kindness, and the chance to realize he`s finally safe. Red isn`t the type of dog who will rush into your arms on day one, and that`s what makes every little milestone with him so rewarding. He likes to make the first move, and once he knows you`re a friend, he continues to grow more comfortable. Watching Red become a little braver each day has been incredibly special, and it`s easy to imagine how much more he`ll blossom in the calm, predictable environment of a home. If you have room in your heart for a dog whose greatest gift will be the trust he chooses to place in you, Red is ready to begin that journey. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care. $1000 reward for anyone that finds or returns Sid to us!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! Sid has been missing since June 13, 2022 from his foster home in Indianapolis Indiana from Meridian park 46205 area. Meet Sid! His mom is Clare the cattle dog mix. He is 1 year old and ever so sweet. Super food motivated. Hes about 28 pounds and at most he will be 33 pounds. Sid ended up with us because he was one of nine dogs confiscated in a cruelty case. Sid was labeled feral and needed help to gain trust, confidence being handled. Sid has exceeded our expectations. He is AMAZING and by far the most awesome little guy ever. He is great with all dogs, cats, and strongly believe he will be perfect with pet friendly kids. A fenced yard is a must. An active home who will continue to allow him to experience life. Daily walks, going on hikes and trails, swimming, OMG he loves swimming. He needs a active outdoor activity loving family with at least 1 or 2 playful dogs in the home. He loves, loves loves car rides and every day he gets better meeting and trusting people. Sid is crate trained and house broken, he walks great on leash and is extremely food motivated. Sid is house and crate trained up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
