Story
Fern is young Rescued Rough Collie. He loves to play and train and be near his people. He’s also easily overstimulated and holds onto alot of anxiety. He's had a ton of professional training, and his diagnosis from the Veterinary Behaviorist is generalized anxiety and Intra household/conflict seeking aggression. This looks like guarding his space in the home and getting frustrated quickly. He has been trained to go get toys when he’s frustrated, Knows skills like stationing/place, lots of obedience cues, and cooperative care for grooming. He is muzzle trained, crate trained, and LOVES his agility classes! He lives with 3 dogs and a cat right now. We expect in a home with no other pets or children he’ll be much less stressed out, especially as his medication starts to help. He’s would love play dates with dog friends. He needs owners who can read his body language and always respect his need for consent to be touched. You'll get lots of training help and supplies to go home with him!

Story
Tartan Trenton came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. He is smart & energetic! His approx. birth date is 09/09/22 and he currently weighs approx. 50#. We are guessing at his breed make up. He would make a lovely family pet for an active household. He was part of the prison program training at his shelter and sits and walks great on a leash. This guy is afraid of brushes and we are not sure why. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, is heart worm negative and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##1825504##

Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.
