Story
Hi everybody, I'M CHAMP💙When I first came into rescue a few weeks ago, I was very timid and shy. They called me flapjack because I pancaked on the floor a lot. I have definitely come out of my shell and am turning into the perfect mix of playful and affectionate! 💙I am a border Collie mix and am approximately 6 months old. I currently weigh in at 32 pounds. 💙I love playing with the doodle gang here in my foster home, so I know I would definitely love to have a playmate to help me burn off some of my puppy energy! 💙I'm great with the cats and will sniff them (they smell funny) and just lay next to them. 💙I'm basically Mr. Congeniality with everyone! 💙I am crate trained andhave learned the doggy door very well. I'm actually a pretty smart boy! Oh, and did I mention handsome...with these blue eyes and all? 💙I am still a puppy, so I need guidance on all puppy matters....chewing, jumping up, play biting etc.I also don't remember ever wearing a collar or being hooked to this thing they call a leash...and it's a little scary! I'm still learning to trust that process, but I'm getting the hang of it! 💙I will steal your heart and be your best friend and a treasured part of your family if you adopt me! 💙I am available for foster-to-adopt with my adoption being finalized after my vetting is complete.I already started those poky things they call vaccines and microchips and started taking monthly heartworm prevention. My vetting will be completed by the end of the month after my neuter (I'm not sure I even want to know what that is)! 💙If you're interested in me becoming a part your family, please submit an adoption application at www.pawsofadamscounty.com.The ladies here say you must answer all questions completely and honestly to be considered being lucky enough to share your life with me! 💙I can't wait to meet my forever family! 💙www.pawsofadamscounty.com

Story
Finest Chocolate Fox came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 04/04/23 and she currently weighs 25.4#. We are guessing at her breed make up. Update - in foster & house trained! She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative. She is tick bite positive but being treated with 30 days of antibiotic with no symptoms. Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##2371351##

Story
Tartan Trenton came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. He is smart & energetic! His approx. birth date is 09/09/22 and he currently weighs approx. 50#. We are guessing at his breed make up. He would make a lovely family pet for an active household. He was part of the prison program training at his shelter and sits and walks great on a leash. This guy is afraid of brushes and we are not sure why. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, is heart worm negative and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Story
Meet Montoya! He is so ready for his future to take off. After being found in the cornfield malnourished and ridden with fleas causing skin issues. Fast forward to now and he is happy, healthy, and extraordinarily super smart. Already potty training so well, he knows basic commands, and is learning more. He is so smart it blows our minds how easy learning comes to him. He is also crate-trained. Cat, dog, big and small and people friendly. Monty will need experienced adopters willing to continue his training as he grows into an amazing pupper. Adopters with a history of raising a puppy are preferred but not a must. No, we cannot adopt the boys out together. They have been very exposed to so many children of all ages as well. They even had weekend pup dates and did fabulously awesome with 0 accidents in the home. Montoya is house and crate trained pretty well, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.
