Kush is a 9 year old female Siberian Husky that has been at the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWL) since 8/15/2021 (4 years, 7 months,1,688 days). That is WAY to long! Let`s find Kush a furrever home before she hits her 5 year anniversary at the shelter! Kush LOVES going for walks, playing fetch, running zoomies in a fenced yard, and being showered with love/treats! Kush is dog selective. Kush is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. Kush is looking for her best friend. Could that be you? Kush is available for adoption, to foster, or just simply going out for walks. Come say hi!

AVAILABLE The sweetest 4-1/2 month old baby, Sweetheart. She is kennel trained, super smart, and will house train quickly with a routine. She understands "go potty" when you take her out. She loves people but can be a little timid at first in a new setting. She just wants to feel safe. She will warm up quickly when feeling loved though. She gets along with other friendly dogs and hasn't been off leash with cats. She loves toys, soft blankets, snuggles, and is such a good girl. She is pretty calm most of the time. She is still all puppy at times so just be prepared with chew toys to redirect. The loves attention, is playful at times, snuggly at times, and will be such a good companion and friend. Sweetheart is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She came to us with a serious leg injury and was taken to a veterinarian right away. They did an amazing job and saved her leg. Currently she has pins and will need to be checked over the next six months so we are looking for a foster to adopt until she's all clear, then paperwork can be finalized for her adoption. A shelter is no place for a puppy to grow and we are asking you to share and help us find her forever home. Meet SpudSpud is a sweet, goofy, loving dog who becomes incredibly attached to the people he trusts. Inside the home, he is a complete love bug and a true Velcro dog—he loves being close to his person, playing, getting attention, and being part of whatever you're doing. He is also very food motivated, which can be a huge help when working with him and building his confidence.Unfortunately, Spud struggles with significant anxiety and reactivity, especially outside of the home. Living in an apartment has become increasingly stressful for him. The constant presence of neighbors, other dogs, shared outdoor spaces, and unexpected encounters makes it difficult for him to relax and feel secure.

Story
Charlie is a 6-year-old pit bull/heeler mix that I took in from a friend at 1-years-old. Charlie loves pets, chasing his ball, and will insist on going out with you when you take the trash out! He is a loving, cuddly boy that will be a lap dog if you let him. He does well with a chihuahua who runs the house and has enjoyed playing with other dogs without incident in the past. He loves to chew on squeaky toys, but his main goal is to rip the stuffing out. He will eat toilet paper as a substitute, so you’ll have to watch out for him sneaking off for a snack! He’s had some tummy and skin sensitivities, but has done well with being on a sensitive kibble. He knows sit and could likely be trained for other basic commands. We are looking to rehome him due to recently bringing a baby home and not having the time to give him that he deserves. He is curious of the baby and wants to be near her, but I have not seen his interactions with older children.
