Story
Paige joined our family in July of 2018 after being adopted from the Boyle County Humane Society. We believe she was around a year and a half old at the time. She came to us already housebroken and knowing basic commands such as sit, lay down, and fetch. Paige is a sweet, laid-back dog who enjoys lounging around the house just as much as she enjoys being outside to play. She has spent most of her life living with other dogs and cats and has done well with them overall. Recently, we’ve had some challenges after adding a small dog to the home. While they initially got along, ongoing tension has developed as the younger dog has matured. We feel Paige would do best in a home where she can be the only dog or in a calmer environment that better suits her as she gets older. This decision has been incredibly difficult, and Paige is deeply loved. Our hope is to find her a loving, stable home where she can relax, feel secure, and continue to be the wonderful companion she has always been.

Story
Meet Scarlet Rose The Loyal & Gentle Companion Scarlet Rose is a beautiful girl around 1 year old, weighing approximately 31.4 lbs, with a devoted heart and a sweet, steady presence. She is incredibly loyal and loves nothing more than sitting close to her person, soaking up quiet companionship and affection. She can be wary of strangers at first and needs time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through. Scarlet Rose forms strong bonds and is deeply connected to her people. She gets along well with other dogs and is confident enough to hold her own without being pushy. She also does well with cats, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. Scarlet Rose is well on her way to being housebroken, with only occasional use of a pee pad during the night. Sweet, loyal, and thoughtful, Scarlet Rose is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence and feel truly secure. Inquiries provide us with minimal information about the potential adopter, making it challenging for us to evaluate suitability.2. Submit an Application: We kindly ask that you submit an adoption application on our website to be considered for adoption. Please choose the appropriate application link below based on whether you are interested in adopting a dog or cat:~ Apply here (DOG): https://davincisdream.org/dog-adoption/~ Apply here (CAT): https://davincisdream.org/cat-adoption/3. Be Patient: Keep in mind that we are a volunteer-based organization, and we receive a high number of inquiries and applications. Due to these constraints, we may not be able to respond to every inquiry individually. However, submitting an application provides us with the necessary information to consider you as a potential adopter.**TRANSPORTS**We are based in Columbia, KY, and extend our services to other locations through our transport program. Please understand that due to the high volume of inquiries, we may not be able to respond to questions covered in this FAQ section.1. Are your dogs potty trained?Unless the dog's bio specifically states that they are potty trained, you can assume they are not. Is this cat/dog still available? If the cat or dog is listed on Adopt-A-Pet and does not have an "adoption pending" tag on the website, we are still accepting applications. However, please be aware that we often receive multiple applications for each animal.4. How long does it take to hear back about my application? It can take up to 10 days to receive a response from us. If you do not hear back within this timeframe, please understand that we may have chosen not to move forward with your application. We are a volunteer-based organization and, while we read every application, we may not be able to respond to each one individually.Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our fur babies and for taking the time to review these FAQs.
