Story
Meet Newt—our handsome 3½-year-old Collie mix with a heart as bright as his tri-color coat of black, white, and brown. Newt is the full package: energetic, affectionate, and always ready to bring a smile to your face with his silly antics. HUGE PLUS, he know all his basic commands, and even has a very nice paw shake! He’s the kind of pup who believes that love should be endless—whether it’s snuggles on the couch, happy tail wags, or being by your side for life’s adventures. Newt thrives on attention and wants nothing more than to be someone’s best friend. His sweet personality and playful spirit make him a wonderful companion for an active home where he’ll have the chance to run, play, and, most importantly, be cherished for the goofy, lovable boy he is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with joy, laughter, and unconditional love, Newt is waiting to meet you. Story
We adopted Wulf as a puppy he has always been high strung, which we attributed to the border collie in him. But as our family grew, so did his anxiety, he has lived in our home with two other dogs, and when his anxiety gets bad, he does lash out at the other dogs. The veterinarian has put them on Prozac, which helped at first but doesn’t seem to be as effective now. Him and my youngest dog got into it and he ended up getting hurt and had to be on antibiotics. Luckily, my parents took him in for a couple weeks so he could heal and during that time in a quieter environment with no other dogs, he did really well. He is a good boy, looking back. I feel like we’ve spent so much time trying to make him conform to our life when maybe we weren’t the right fit for him. I believe he would do better in a home with no other dogs, possibly with an older person or couple who is home more with him and less chaos. He’s smart he knows how to sit and shake he is crate trained.
