Story
Yukon is a 6-year-old Rough Collie with a unique look —he has blue merle head, mostly white coat, and beautiful heterochromatic eyes.   This sweet, gentle boy loves to snuggle, go for walks, play fetch, explore the backyard, and never turns down a good treat. Yukon gets along well with both dogs and cats and has a calm, loving nature that makes him a wonderful companion.   Yukon isn’t a fan of sudden loud noises. When things get a little overwhelming, he enjoys the space to go to another room and unwind until he’s ready to come back for more love. Being a herding breed, he does have a tendency to try and herd the people around him if they are running. Because of this, families with no children or children 10 and older would probably be the best match for Yukon.   He is about 65 lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $300 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.July 15, 2026, 6:18 pm

Story
Cassie's Crew is a litter or 7 sweet pups, born June 15, 2026.  This is Max.  We will share more about their personalities as we learn more about each one. They are all doing well at their foster home and should be available August 10th. Please consider filling out the adoption application today so we can start the process now!   The suggested adoption donation for each pup in Cassie's Crew is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2786227##

Story
This is Dingo a very loyal and energetic dog. He was adopted from the Humane Society where he was brought in as a stray. He is about 2 and a half years old. He LOVES people! He is scared of other dogs we think from trauma as a stray but he is VERY friendly with his human friends, incredibly loyal and very smart. We are putting him up for adoption because he needs a loving family with a yard and fences to run around in for his energy. Due to some life changes we are unable to spend time with him on his anxieties and hope to find him a loving home in the area where he can live his best life and we would love to visit him sometimes.

Story
Meet Cami! Cami is a 1½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer mix with a heart as big as her smile! This sweet girl is full of happiness and loves making new friends wherever she goes. Her friendly personality and cheerful spirit make her a joy to be around. One of Cami's cutest quirks is her adorable little zoomies when she gets excited. Whether she's greeting her favorite people or celebrating playtime, her happy dance is guaranteed to make you smile. Cami is affectionate, fun-loving, and always ready for an adventure or a cuddle session on the couch. She's looking for a family that will love her playful nature and give her plenty of opportunities to share her joyful personality.  If you're searching for a loyal companion who will fill your days with laughter, love, and the sweetest zoomies, Cami might just be your perfect match! Come meet this happy girl and see if she's the missing piece of your family! The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##2782076##
