Story
Some stories start with heartbreak - and turn into something extraordinary.Fossil Fuel’s story began on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, alone, in the middle of the night… during a snowstorm. A tiny 4-month-old puppy trying to survive the cold, the wind, and the dark by himself.Thankfully, a compassionate animal control officer found him, brought him to safety, and kept him warm overnight before he made his way to Boxers and Buddies the next day. And while his start in life has been far too cold and lonely, his heart is anything but.💛 About Fossil FuelFossil Fuel is a gentle, sweet boy with a soft soul. He can be shy and a little unsure at first (the world hasn’t always felt very safe to him). But once he realizes you mean kindness, he leans in. Quietly. Tenderly. Like he’s been waiting for that reassurance his whole life. He’s still just a baby. Four months old. He should be learning about toys, treats, and belly rubs - not snowstorms and survival. He deserves warm blankets, patient hands, and a family who will show him that the scary chapter is over.🏡 His Ideal HomeA patient family willing to move at his paceA calm environment where he can build confidenceGentle encouragement and lots of praiseSomeone who understands that shy dogs often become the most loyal companionsWith time, consistency, and love, Fossil Fuel is going to blossom. The shy puppies - the ones who look up at you with cautious hope - often bond the deepest. He just needs someone to believe in him.He survived the storm. Now he’s waiting for his sunshine. ☀️If you’re ready to give this brave little boy the safe, forever home he’s been searching for, Fossil Fuel is ready to meet you. Story
Ella is a tender, fun-loving companion. She is gentle and affectionate, but playful and outgoing. Although energetic, she prefers to sleep a lot, snuggle some, and play a little! Safe in off-leash environments, she is responsive to calling and very environmentally aware. An excellent house and travel dog, she is crate and car trained, but can be left independently once she's comfortable without any worry. She would love a stable and caring home, with consistent company and walks. She is low maintenance and self-sufficient. An excellent all-around lifestyle dog for someone attentive and active.
