Story
Meet Zac – The Sweetest Soul You'll Ever Earn the Trust Of ❤️Zac is a goofy, loving, playful puppy with a heart as big as his paws. His favorite things are romping around with other dogs, curling up in a cozy bed, and happily chewing on his favorite toys. Like any puppy, he's still learning his manners; and he's making wonderful progress every day. What makes Zac truly special is how far he's come. When Zac arrived at Boxers and Buddies, the world was a frightening place. He had spent his entire life isolated in the home where he was born and had never experienced the outside world. Everything was unfamiliar, and everyone was scary. For the first two weeks in foster care, he hid behind the fireplace, too afraid to come out. Then something amazing happened. His foster dog siblings showed him that life could be fun. Little by little, Zac found the courage to explore, to play, and eventually to trust. Today, he enjoys off-leash hikes, greets visitors with curiosity, and has become a happy, affectionate companion to the people he knows and loves.Zac is still discovering that the world is a safe place, and every new experience helps him grow. He'll thrive in a patient, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace. If you're willing to give him the time he needs, you'll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal best friend who will love you with his whole heart. Some dogs are easy to love at first sight. Zac is the kind of dog whose love is earned; but once you've earned it, it's truly unforgettable. If you have a gentle heart, another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus, and you're looking for a companion whose transformation will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life, Zac is waiting to meet you.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
This is Marley. His very favorite thing is to go for a car ride. Did you say "Adventure"! Marley is a chill guy who loves fetch, tug, tennis balls and sleeping with his person. Marley loves to be by his person...always. Pats, belly rubs and hugs are his love language. Walks and runs also make him a happy guy. Marley loves kids, especially girls, and dogs his size (smaller dogs make him nervous). He has also lived with cats. Marley can be cautious around men and just asks that they develop a plan together to build a great relationship...slow and easy is the best way to start.

Story
Meet Elegance, aka EllieEllie is a sweet young girl who came to Boxers & Buddies after being rescued from the Washoe County Regional Animal Services urgent list. Since arriving in her foster home, she has been making progress every single day. At 37lbs, she's a great medium sized dog. Ellie can be a little skittish, but she is slowly gaining confidence and learning that she is safe. Her foster family says they can see her becoming more comfortable and trusting as each day passes. She also has plenty of one year old energy, so she’s always ready for some fun!Ellie gets along well with her foster family’s resident German Shepherd and enjoys having a canine friend around. She can be a little enthusiastic with her play, though, and sometimes doesn’t realize when her playmate has had enough. She can also display some resource guarding around things she considers valuable, so continued guidance and positive reinforcement will be important as she learns appropriate boundaries. And then there are the things Ellie absolutely loves: toys and cuddles! Give her a favorite toy and some time to play, followed by a cozy spot next to her people, and she’s a happy girl.Ellie is looking for a family who will be patient with her, continue helping her build confidence, and appreciate all the silly, playful, affectionate moments that come with a young dog. She’s making progress every day, and we can’t wait to see just how far this beautiful girl goes.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
🐾 Looking for the right forever home for Gemini 🐾This is Gemini, a Lab/Australian Shepherd mix and one of the biggest lover boys you’ll ever meet. ❤️Making this post is incredibly hard, but I’m looking for a home where Gemini can have the life he truly deserves. I’m not looking to simply give him away to the first person who asks. I will be selective about where he goes because I want to know that he is going to a safe, loving, committed home.A little about my boy:Birthday: June 12th 🐾🐶 Black Lab/Australian Shepherd mix 💙 Not neutered👧 Great with children🐕 Not good with male dogs, so he would do best as the only male dog. Fine with small dogs. 🐱 Unknown with cats🏡 Needs a home with a yard. 🎾 LOVES toys, fetch and playing, and being in the water! Knows basic commands. Sit. Lay. Come. 🦮 LOVES going for walks❤️ An absolute big-time cuddle bug and lover boy! 🙂‍↕️Potty trained! Will be selective who he goes to. He’s a great dog deserving of a good life. 🥹

Story
Anarchy (Annie) - lives up to her breed and name. She needs someone with cattle dog experience. She is your typical heeler: cuddly, great recall, needs space & a job. She is house trained & kennel trained. She is great with children. She has been with other dogs & cats, but would be better as any only pet; she was bred to herd, so that's what she does. She is a little over a year old. She will require patience, she is shy with new people.
