She adores her people and thrives on companionship, always ready for a cuddle or a game of fetch. Amelia gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be a great addition to a multi-pup household. Meet Tyson!Tyson is about a year old and around 40 pounds! Tyson was brought to us as a stray dog and has been waiting to go to a good home. He is a playful dog since he is still a young dog that loves attention. He can be a bit shy with strangers, but not at all aggressive from what we can see. Tyson is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, neutered and ready to go to his forever home! If you have any questions or would like to meet Tyson, please call us at (828)980-0016 or email us at rutherfordanimalcontrol@heartofthefoothills.org.

Navy is a sweet, playful, medium-energy girl who loves toys, zoomies, and hanging out with other dogs. She’s affectionate, curious, gentle, and settling into home life beautifully. She’s becoming more confident each week, learning boundaries, getting more playful, and showing her fun vocal side. Navy walks well on leash, does fine when left alone, and is making progress with housetraining and basic cues. She thrives with structure, toys to chew, and an active home—especially one with other playful dogs. —Best suited for: Either house or apartment —Training: Knows sit; partially housetrained; learning “gentle”; crate training going well —Alone time: Does well alone 8–9 hours; plays with toys; may chew items if no toys available —Leash manners: Walks well; occasional pulling —Energy level: Medium—playful and active but settles well —Personality: Affectionate, Curious, Gentle, Playful; becoming bolder as she settles in —Favorite activities: Chewing toys (especially Benebones), Playing with dogs, Zoomies, Watching birds and squirrels —Top treat/food: Milk Bones —Dog interactions: Very friendly, social, playful; can get overexcited but improving; best with higher-energy dogs —Fun facts: Nervous in the car at first but settles; barely needed crate training; becoming more vocal (cute little howls); shows gentler play with familiar dogs. Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, and spay/neuter.
