Meet Roomi, the sweetest 4-month-old, 16-lb Shepherd mix with the saddest story! She was found on the side of the road unable to walk after being hit by a car. This tiny puppy had been left there injured and helpless, but thankfully someone found her and gave her the chance she desperately needed. And just look at her now. Roomi walks, plays, runs, gallops, and is absolutely loving life. She is such a pleasure to be around — incredibly sweet, loving, and loyal. She looks to her humans for reassurance and already has that special quality of a dog who just wants to be by her person’s side. Roomi loves other dogs and is even good with cats. After everything she has been through, she hasn’t lost an ounce of her sweetness or her excitement for the world around her. Her dream home would be on the more active side. She would love a family who wants to take her on walks, adventures, trips to the dog park, and all the outings she missed out on during the beginning of her life. She is very smart and progressing well with her potty training! Roomi was once a tiny puppy lying on the side of the road unable to walk. Now she’s galloping toward her second chance — and all she needs is a family to run toward. Roomi is currently in foster in NYC but can be transported to surrounding areas!

Coming to us as an owner surrender this undeniably sweet girtl is ready to leave the past behind, coming from less than desirable conditions- and walk into the best days of her life… on a leash with her family, of course. Meet Runt! Runt is 3years old and like her housemate is so sweet and meek! She met the same canine friend that Ruby did and was full of curious sniffs, tail wags and nose-to-nose friendly greetings! She also lived with other dogs in her previous life and did great with them. If you are interested in learning more about either of these beautiful smooth coat collie mix girls, please come in person to the shelter to meet them. We always recommend meet and greets with and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all, also! We don`t know how they do with cats and have no way to test for that.All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. If you can’t promise forever, please consider waiting until you can, before you adopt! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet. 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustRunt’s adoption fee is $80Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.
