From the moment he arrived, Flapjack has shown just how friendly he is—he eagerly approached officers wanting to play, walked well on leash, and handled his intake easily. When spending time with staff, he has been affectionate and enthusiastic about attention, happily climbing up to put his front paws in a lap for some love. He can be a little timid moving through the noisy kennel area, but once he is away from all that commotion, his relaxed, playful personality begins to shine.Flapjack is looking for a loving home where this young pup can relax, play, and continue building his confidence while he waits for his next chapter. His recent behavior evaluations describe him as friendly and relaxed, with a soft gaze and wagging tail, and he gently accepts treats. Meet Tally! This Beautiful lass is a stunning Shepherd/Collie mix with a breath-taking coat! She's been with us a while, learning how to meet new people and she's made some good progress. She may still take a second to warm up to you, but once she does, she's as sweet as can be! When meeting her, it's important to keep in mind not to be too in her space, or push any greetings too fast, like offering a hand. But she's ready to meet people! She just needs some understanding. Something about her: She LOVES water!! Got a pool? Like hiking by a lake? Sprinkler? Hose? Tally wants to meet you!! She does well with all of our dogs as fence buddies and doesn't seem to pay our house cats any mind.
