Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Meet Myles, a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old male collie with a sweet, goofy side that really shines once he gets to know you. He can be a bit skittish at first and is fearful of new things and loud noises, but he’s easily distracted with treats and gentle pets. Myles loves being around his people, yet he’s also perfectly content spending time on his own with a favorite chew toy. He likes to sleep in his crate at night and will often choose it as his go-to spot for a daytime nap. While he prefers romping around in a yard over going for walks, he has good leash and car manners when needed. His routine is flexible and he isn’t opposed to sleeping in now and then. He plays well with other dogs and is only a little whiny around cats. Myles may get a bit vocal if he’s startled or feels he’s missing out on attention, but he’s still young and has already made great progress in building confidence with his foster. With a little time and reassurance, Myles has blossomed into a loving, fun companion who’s ready to find his perfect home. I hope you will consider adopting me. After all, I am a handsome, happy boy and quite a catch!  Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.June 13, 2026, 8:03 am

Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Kona is 1 yrs old  Kona is a big, sometimes clumsy fluffball that always wants to please. He spent his early life outside and is now learning what it takes to be an indoor dog. His foster family says he is adapting quite well to indoor living. They have invested time in teaching him house manners, and it has paid off! Motivated by treats, he has learned the “sit” command and will go in his crate when asked. He is beginning to discover toys and will play fetch, especially enjoying the company of the family dog. In fact, he models his foster brother’s behavior and tries to keep up as he explores his new world. He is curious when meeting other dogs and happily greets them with a wagging tail and playful energy.   When Kona first came to live in his foster home, he was hesitant to try new things. With patience and encouragement from his foster family, he has been exposed to new situations and experiences. Reluctant at first, he now enjoys car rides, visits to the vet and even his grooming appointments. He warms up quickly to people and happily follows his foster mom around. He loves her cuddles, especially when she scratches him around his ears.   If you are looking for a big lug who may not know his size, this dog is for you. This easygoing boy will fill your heart with love and truly appreciate the joy of a forever home. Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Ernie is 8 mths old Ernie is an incredibly handsome, happy “shollie.” There are no clouds on this boy’s horizon—just blue sky ahead. This friendly guy loves meeting new people, especially if it means extra pets, and he thrives on the attention. At home, he happily follows his foster mom around, and if he needs to go in his crate, he’s perfectly content, wagging his tail and taking it all in. He’s been crated when no one is home, and he doesn’t bark or raise a fuss about it. Ernie likes to “take inventory” when he enters a room, curiously checking everything out. If you're sitting down, he’ll zero in on you like a belly-rub-seeking missile, hoping you’ll rub his belly forever. I think we can say caresses are Ernie’s love language.    He does have a playful quirk: Ernie may help himself to a towel or blanket for a good shake now and then. If that doesn’t win you over, it’s truly the only “negative” in an otherwise incredibly great lad. He plays nicely with his foster dog siblings and amuses himself with his chew bone when on his own. Everyone who meets Ernie loves him, and we’re sure you will too. His foster mom says he’s an awesome companion and go-for-walks buddy. If you are looking for a loyal, loving sidekick, Ernie is ready and eager to meet you!  Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.June 13, 2026, 8:03 am
