FENCE REQUIRED
Zane came into the world with dust on the wind and a restless spark in his bones, the kind of spirit that always sees the good in life. At nine months, he is all legs and motion, a tri-colored rough Collie with a coat that caught the light like the wide-open plains at sunrise. There is a little mischief in him, sure enough—something a little wild and untested—but that’s the way of young things meant for bigger horizons.
He rides close to his people, not by saddle but by instinct, keeping watch with bright eyes and a heart that knew loyalty before it knew caution. When the trail bends long and the day wears thin, Zane is there, trotting ahead as if the land itself had whispered directions only he could hear. And when night settles in, he stays near, a quiet presence wrapped in fur and warmth, as steady as a campfire glow.
Folks might say he is a little zany, and they wouldn’t be wrong. But beneath that restless energy is something finer—a dog ready to grow into his place, ready to carve his mark alongside the ones he trusts.
Out on the range, where the world stretches wide and unforgiving, there’s no room for anything but truth. And Zane, for all his youth and foolish bursts of energy, is as true as they come. He isn't finished yet, but you can see it in the way he stands against the horizon, ears high, eyes forward.
He is going to be something worth remembering. This is one special boy!
