Story
PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED DEEDEE AND JOJO – MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER DeeDee and JoJo are a beautiful bonded pair of two-year-old rough Collies who are looking for a new beginning together. After losing their beloved owner, these two sweet girls have leaned on each other for comfort and strength, and they absolutely must be adopted as a pair. Their bond is truly special—they find confidence, joy, and peace in each other’s company. DeeDee and JoJo are gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. They greet everyone with kind eyes and wagging tails, always eager for a kind word or a soft touch. While they will need a little patience and practice with their leash manners, their willingness to please shines through in everything they do. These loving Collie sisters have so much heart and happiness to share. They’re ready to fill a home with warmth, loyalty, and the quiet joy that only comes from being loved—and giving love back—together. If JoJo and DeeDee strike your fancy and you are ready to help them continue to be the best Collie citizens ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if these two ladies are not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Story
FENCE REQUIRED Meet Sullivan, aka Sully, a handsome sable and white rough Collie with a heart as soft as his coat. This gentle 2-year-old boy is a joy to have around—he walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is kind and patient with children. Cats get him a little too excited so he would need work around them. Sullivan is calm, affectionate, and has the easygoing nature that makes Collies such wonderful companions. He seems to have everything going for him, except one thing: a family to love him. Sullivan is waiting for someone to see in him what we do—a loyal, loving friend who is ready to give his whole heart. If you are looking for a dog who will bring warmth and quiet joy into your home, Sullivan is ready to meet you. If Sullivan strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Sullivan is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Story
FENCE REQUIRED Here is Charlotte, a gorgeous young, petite Collie girl at roughly 40 pounds, with room to grow. She is very good with both cats and dogs and enjoys playtime. Originally from a rural environment, she is a country mouse learning the ways of suburbia. Navigating the routines of suburban life and adjusting well to new sights, sounds, and sidewalks. She walks nicely on leash and loves to stretch her legs with plenty of running. She has shown no interest in attempting to jump a four-foot fence. Charlotte is reliably housebroken with a consistent schedule. She sleeps through the night on the bedroom floor, peacefully sharing the space with a resident cat and dog. She enjoys quiet cuddles on the couch and seeks gentle affection. Once introduced, Charlotte is comfortable with neighbors and new adults. She would do best in a home with dog-savvy children age ten and up. Charlotte may need some patience to adjust to this big new world but she will be well worth it and reward you with Collie girl cuddles! She is eager to please, curious, and has the classic Collie tendency to stay close to her people. Charlotte is working on crate training, though she now eats in her crate and is making gradual progress. Her main challenge is building confidence when separated, and she is currently working on this with supportive guidance. A secure, playful canine sibling would help her gain her own confidence. Overall, Charlotte is a sweet, affectionate, and willing young lady who is learning quickly and will thrive with patience, consistency, and a calm, loving home. If Charlotte strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Charlotte is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Riley is seven yrs old Riley is a stunningly handsome collie boy looking for his forever home. He is a people-loving guy who enjoys being near his foster—sometimes quietly watching from a distance, other times hanging out right by her side. He is excited when she arrives back home and greets her with some happy barks. Riley is gentle, mellow and sensitive and can be a bit shy and nervous when faced with something new, but he’s handling everything well (that said, he would probably run from something that really startled or frightened him). He’s also proven to be a great companion to the foster’s two other dogs—outside they romp and chase, and he loves sniffing out all the new and interesting smells. Riley understands commands like “sit, and he even offers his paw to shake. He comes when called, knows his name, and willingly goes into his crate at night when asked and rewarded with a treat—a skill he learned in the first week he was at his foster's. Riley has been left in the house uncrated for short periods of time and is very trustworthy. With his dignified, attentive demeanor, affectionate heart, and true collie spirit and personality, Riley will be a loyal, loving addition to a lucky forever family.Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.December 1, 2025, 8:06 pm
