Story
Looking to Rehome our pet Trooper, he’s 6 years old and we love him dearly but have noticed he doesn’t seem happy anymore. We adopted him when we first got married and we lost one of our other dogs a few years ago since then Trooper hasn’t been the same. Also with the addition to our family; another dog, a toddler and a baby on the way, I think our home is too hectic for him. He’s extremely sweet, more like a cat than a dog. Loves to sun bathe and take naps. He’s a great walking companion and is completely house trained. He doesn’t need to be in a cage when left home alone. He’s good to be left alone all day. He is an inside dog so I would require the next family to do the same. He’s great with other dogs not sure about cats, he does love to chase so that could be an issue with a cat until Trooper can get used to it. He is scared of thunderstorms but he will just follow your around the house until the storm passes. We just want him to be happy and safe in a new home.

Story
Please contact Nunnallee for more information about this pet. Tony has been waiting on his forever family since February 2018. He was originally found as a stray and taken to Montgomery County Animal Shelter, and then entered Operation Pets Alive's foster program in March of that year. He recently celebrated his 9th birthday with his foster family and is still an active boy! Tony gets along with other pups and enjoys playtime. He can be a rascal around cats, the chase is just too much fun to resist, so a home with no small animals would be best! While Tony ADORES attention from the kiddos, he’s not quite aware of his own exuberance, and would be a better fit for a home with older, respectful children. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Tony has waited a long time for a forever home. We know his his family is out there, just waiting to connect! Will it be you?    As his foster family, we will miss him!  We would love to hear how he is doing should you choose to add Tony to your family, and send updates!    June 3, 2023, 7:56 pm
