Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Pinta! Pinta is the perfect dog for someone who’s active and ready to play. And with her adorable big pointy ears, it’s hard not to fall in love with this pup! Pinta loves to stay busy—whether she's chasing toys, running around with her shelter mate Belle, or exploring the nature around her. She can be a bit of a diva at times, too. Pinta loves being outside, but she’s not a fan of getting her feet wet and muddy in the rain. Truly, this little diva is full of personality—and that’s exactly what makes her so lovable. Pinta is looking for an active home that can help her burn off energy through fun, interactive activities. But don’t worry—with the right person, she’ll happily wind down and cuddle up after a fun-filled day of play. Does this fun-loving pup sound like the perfect match for you? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
Sophie is an 10 year old, 70lb, spayed Collie mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is good with children and loves to play with other dogs. She would not do well with cats or chickens due to her prey drive. Sophie is crate and house trained and walks well on leash. She is an active, playful girl who prefers daily walks to get her energy out. She would love to snuggle with you on the couch and give hugs to everyone she meets! Sophie came into our rescue as a young puppy, she was adopted twice and had forever homes for approximately 3-1/2 years both times. Both times she was returned due to changes in the family dynamics through no fault of hers. She is looking for a REAL forever home this time - one that she can live out her remaining years with love and companionship. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at www.hhfrescue.org. Thank you for considering a rescued dog!

Story
If you would like more information about Riften or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to colemunoz123@gmail.com Riften is a sweet 2-year-old herding-breed mix (Aussie/Collie-type). She is gentle and affectionate, no aggression observed. She appears to have had prior neglect and is still adjusting to being well cared for. Riften is partially house trained and improving. Due to significant stress and health concerns for a resident small dog, we are hoping to have Riften rehomed with a great family who can spoil her. Story
Meet Piper. 5.5-6 yrs old. She’s been fully vetted and is ready for adoption. Piper came from a local shelter as a stray. Her medical has been lengthy and expensive as she went through heartworm treatment and had entropian surgery for one of her eyes. That’s where they fix the eyelashes from rolling inward and scratching the eye causing it to weep from irritation. She’s all healthy and feeling great. Piper is sweet, playful and mostly obedient. She is completely housebroken. Though Piper likes to play with other dogs she needs to be in a no other dog home since she resource guards her food. She would just love having a person she can snuggle on the couch with. We had Piper DNA’d and she is 50/50 smooth collie & husky. You may apply for Piper at https://houstoncollierescue.org/ado.../adoption-application/ We adopt anywhere in Texas, OKC and Louisiana.

Story
Meet Mia and Milo. Not quite 2 yrs old, DOB 2/10/24, Milo is 53 lbs, Mia is 42 lbs., rough collie or possibly sheltie and lab mix give them the smooth collie appearance. Owner relinq due to personal hardship, these 2 sweeties are socialized, great with kids, car rides, other dogs and cats.. They are heartworm & fecal negative, altered, fully vetted, microchipped and on monthly preventative. Foster dad says: They have been the sweetest fosters we've ever gotten. They have settled down, eat well, and sleep well. We do think they are a bonded pair. They function together, they are nice to each other, and take turns being lead dog. Though they do great with other dogs they are never far from each other. If you’d like help us keep these 2 together and get them home for the holidays please apply at https://houstoncollierescue.org/adoption/collies-for-adoption/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This delightful puppy with those gorgeous ice blue eyes is named 'Chestnut' and we think he may be a 'Texas Heeler' (Australian cattle dog and Australian shepherd mix).  As you'd expect, he's a very intelligent and playful guy willing to cuddle with everyone!  He was rescued by one of our wonderful volunteers and was adopted out as a puppy but had to be returned when his owner could no longer work from home.  He is looking again for a new home to call his own and we think he would do best as an only dog. Chestnut is neutered and current on his vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control.  His $125 adoption fee also includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If you've fallen for this little 'nut' please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online application (no cost or obligation).  Once approved we'll gladly set up a time for you to meet  in person to see if it's a good match.  Thank you for thinking Rescue.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 14, 2025, 11:39 am

Elsie is a gorgeous and super sweet girl. She loves human interaction and loves to take care of the puppies and other dogs around her. She’s very low maintenance. She has low energy but still loves to play around. She enjoys being inside laying comfortably, having belly rubs and big kisses. She has a personality that suits everyone and she loves to strut and enjoy being showed off. She’s perfect for a family with small children that she can be gentle with.
