Nilo is a 9-year-old bundle of love, joy, and loyalty. He’s a small (30lb) Collie mix with the perfect balance of playful energy and snuggly affection. He’s smart, gentle, and incredibly kind — the kind of dog that feels like he’s always been part of your heart. Nilo gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and especially humans — even the little ones. He’s patient, well-mannered, and just wants to be near someone he can love. Sadly, our family is facing long-term travel to care for aging relatives. We can’t let Nilo spend months in a kennel waiting. He deserves a warm home, a soft bed, and people to give his love to. Sophie is an 10 year old, 70lb, spayed Collie mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is good with children and loves to play with other dogs. She would not do well with cats or chickens due to her prey drive. Sophie is crate and house trained and walks well on leash. She is an active, playful girl who prefers daily walks to get her energy out. She would love to snuggle with you on the couch and give hugs to everyone she meets! Sophie came into our rescue as a young puppy, she was adopted twice and had forever homes for approximately 3-1/2 years both times. Both times she was returned due to changes in the family dynamics through no fault of hers. She is looking for a REAL forever home this time - one that she can live out her remaining years with love and companionship. Meet Piper. 5.5-6 yrs old. She’s been fully vetted and is ready for adoption. Piper came from a local shelter as a stray. Her medical has been lengthy and expensive as she went through heartworm treatment and had entropian surgery for one of her eyes. That’s where they fix the eyelashes from rolling inward and scratching the eye causing it to weep from irritation. She’s all healthy and feeling great. Piper is sweet, playful and mostly obedient. She is completely housebroken. Though Piper likes to play with other dogs she needs to be in a no other dog home since she resource guards her food. She would just love having a person she can snuggle on the couch with. We had Piper DNA’d and she is 50/50 smooth collie & husky. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.This delightful puppy with those gorgeous ice blue eyes is named 'Chestnut' and we think he may be a 'Texas Heeler' (Australian cattle dog and Australian shepherd mix).  As you'd expect, he's a very intelligent and playful guy willing to cuddle with everyone!  He was rescued by one of our wonderful volunteers and was adopted out as a puppy but had to be returned when his owner could no longer work from home.  He is looking again for a new home to call his own and we think he would do best as an only dog.
