Story
**Currently fostered in Conroe Texas** Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has a ton of energy and he loves to run and play. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Although, make sure it isn't a tennis ball or you'll find them in pieces! Barkley clearly was a dog that wasn't well socialized with others prior to coming into rescue. So far, he has done well with large female dogs, but he clearly lacks social skills. He does not like male dogs, and smaller dogs he is much to pushy for. He very clearly wants to be friendly, but struggles due to a lack of social skills. We believe with continued socialization with healthy, playful dogs will yield continued success with him! We suggest no cats though since he has a prey drive and goes after the squirrels and chickens. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. While he still struggles with impulse control, he has continued to show great results. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pretty Roxanne was found on the side of the road chained up inside a crate! This poor girl had recently had pups and weighed only 18 lbs when rescued (our vet said she should be close to 40 lbs). Pretty was mostly skin and bones with very little hair left on her body (see her last photo), but true to her tough Heeler ancestry has made a remarkable recovery. Her beautiful coat came back in once she was provided with some TLC and all the quality food she needed to flourish. Pretty has the intelligence, personality and normal traits of a blue heeler and will make a great addition to some lucky family. She's very intelligent and energetic so might be a little 'much' around small children, or even try to herd them! Though she's very sweet and well-behaved, Pretty has a condition that causes her to leak urine when she sleeps. Her foster mom puts a people pee pad on top of her bed every night and then just puts it in the wash in the morning. She needs to be in a home with a nice fenced in backyard as she loves to spend time outside in the daytime. As with all our rescue pets, Pretty has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control. Her adoption fee is just $100.00 and includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain. If you'd love to have Pretty Roxanne come running joyfully at your call, please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online adoption application. Story
Brandy Beth is a 6 year old, Australian cattle dog that weights about 25 lbs. She is a happy dog who loves toys, other dogs, treats, going on walks, and is crate trained and house trained. Brandy loves her daily walks around the neighborhood and she does well on walks with another dog. She would probably do best with dogs her size or larger as she sometimes does not know her size and can scare the little ones until they get used to her. She will play chase with any dog that wants to play in her foster mom's backyard. However, she does need to be properly introduced to dogs and to people plus given time to adapt. Brandy is very anxious when meeting new people and will growl which can be quite scary. But if you earn her trust, she will be your best friend. Once she realizes you are her family, she is snuggly and playful. This may take a couple weeks. Her foster mom is happy to help with the transition. She would probably do best with a single adult or young senior who is an experienced dog owner. She would love a home where she would get butt and ear scratches and belly rubs. She looks so proud when she carries around her toys which are a must. Brandy Beth's adoption fee is waived to an appropriate, experienced home. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
