Story
Howlywood Undead was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a friendly, rambunctious boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He has a big personality and isn’t shy about using his voice—especially when left alone—so apartment living would likely not be the best fit for him. Howlywood is great with kids, strangers, and cats, but he is not good with other dogs or livestock, so a home where he can be the only dog is recommended. He is potty trained when taken out frequently and does best with a consistent routine. He did well being left alone and will continue to thrive with structure and regular outings. True to his heeler breed, Howlywood can be mouthy and does like to nip, and he can jump up which may result in scratches. This behavior is not aggressive, but adopters should be prepared to work on manners and provide appropriate outlets for his energy. He loves going on walks and enjoys getting out and about. Howlywood walks fairly well on a leash but can be very excitable and is still learning to walk calmly at your side. He rides great in the car and loves attention, being pet, cuddling up, and cozy warm blankets. His foster describes him as a great dog who just wants to be loved. Howlywood Undead is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention.

Story
Araya is a gentle, affectionate girl who has stolen the hearts of everyone she’s met! She’s the total package—loving, well-behaved, and eager to please. Araya absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some belly rubs and movie-night snuggles. Her foster family shared that she was a dream guest—no accidents, no destruction, and perfect manners in the house. She did great being left loose inside for a few hours, and she also does well crated when needed. Araya walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and even did great for a bath! Araya gets along wonderfully with cats and does fine with dogs, especially after a slow introduction. She can be a little protective of her food or toys, so a patient adopter willing to guide her with positive training will help her shine even more. Her most recent foster believes she’d do fantastic with a confident, friendly dog companion to help her feel secure. Araya is very smart and learns quickly—she’s the kind of dog who wants to make her people proud. She can be a bit nervous with new situations, loud noises, or sudden commotion, but she settles beautifully in a calm and understanding home. Araya is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She’s ready to find her forever family—one that will give her the love, security, and belly scratches she deserves!

River

Australian Cattle Dog Border Collie

Female, 2 yrs 11 mos
Stephenville, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
River was surrendered after she proved to be a bit of an escape artist in her previous home. She can be a little nervous when meeting new people and appreciates some time and patience to settle in, but once she does, her sweet personality shines through. River previously lived with older children and did well, and she has also lived with other dogs, so she should do well in a home with canine companions. She has not been around cats, so a cat-free home or slow, careful introductions would be best. She walks pretty well on a leash and enjoys getting out for her strolls. River is DHPP and Bordetella vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She is scheduled to be spayed on 1/23 and is pending dewormer. River would do best with a patient adopter who can give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. With a little understanding and consistency, River has the potential to be a wonderful, loyal companion.
