Available for adoption, meet Bear! This very handsome boy is about 7 months old and weighs around 45 pounds. He and his brother Teddy have been doing great in their foster home. They are loving, sweet, eager to please and listen to commands. They have been learning so much – potty manners (they're getting there), how to behave around cats, what “no” means. They discovered they love lake water! Both Bear and Teddy are neutered and up to date on shots. Adoption fee is $140. Howlywood Undead was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a friendly, rambunctious boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He has a big personality and isn’t shy about using his voice—especially when left alone—so apartment living would likely not be the best fit for him. Howlywood is great with kids, strangers, and cats, but he is not good with other dogs or livestock, so a home where he can be the only dog is recommended. He is potty trained when taken out frequently and does best with a consistent routine. He did well being left alone and will continue to thrive with structure and regular outings. True to his heeler breed, Howlywood can be mouthy and does like to nip, and he can jump up which may result in scratches. This behavior is not aggressive, but adopters should be prepared to work on manners and provide appropriate outlets for his energy. He loves going on walks and enjoys getting out and about. Howlywood walks fairly well on a leash but can be very excitable and is still learning to walk calmly at your side. He rides great in the car and loves attention, being pet, cuddling up, and cozy warm blankets. His foster describes him as a great dog who just wants to be loved. Howlywood Undead is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention.

*Currently in a 5 day trial adoption* Hansel and Gretel were brought to us from another shelter and are now ready to find their forever homes! These two are a lively, energetic pair of puppies who love to play, run around, and spar with each other like typical siblings. They’re full of curiosity and puppy energy and will need families ready for all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a young puppy. Since they are still finishing their puppy vaccinations, we have not been able to officially dog test them yet, though they may do well with other dogs. We do not know how they do with cats or livestock. Hansel and Gretel are very much typical puppies and will need patience and training as they grow. They have had little to no training so far, which means they’ve never been on a leash, may have accidents in the house, and will likely chew on things they shouldn’t. With time, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, they have the potential to grow into wonderful companions. Hansel has received all 3 DHPP vaccinations, Bordetella vaccine, a microchip, and de-wormer. His neuter will be scheduled at the time of adoption.

Splash is a sweet girl looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly shine. She would do best as the only dog, as she prefers not to share her space with other pups. Don’t let that fool you—Splash has done wonderfully with cats, all kinds of livestock, and kids, making her a great fit for a variety of homes! She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she’s all about being your laid-back companion and hanging out by your side. Splash is housebroken and does well when left loose in the home. She’s not a fan of crates, so she’ll need a home that’s okay with that. She already knows how to sit and is very food-motivated, which will make continued training a breeze! She’ll also need a family committed to helping her reach a healthy weight with a proper diet—but with her love of snacks and people, she’ll be happy to work for it! Splash is spayed, microchipped, and DHPP and Bordetella vaccinated. She is heartworm negative and on prevention. Her adopter will need to have her rabies vaccination updated. If you’re looking for a mellow, loyal companion to share your days with, Splash might be your perfect match.
