Story
If you’re a “cat person”… you might just fall in love with this dog. 💛 Waylon is the kind of pup who stops you mid-scroll with his handsome looks—but it’s his quiet courage and unique personality that truly make him unforgettable. This sensitive boy is still learning that the world is safe. Loud noises, busy homes, and unpredictable environments can overwhelm him, so he’s searching for a calm, peaceful home where he can finally relax and just be. Waylon isn’t your typical Velcro dog—and that’s part of his charm. He’s wonderfully cat-like in the best way: independent, observant, and thoughtful. He’ll come to you when he’s ready, ask for affection on his terms, and let you know when he’s had enough. Those moments of connection? They feel extra special because they’re earned. 🐾 He would thrive with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. With the right dog and a patient human, Waylon is already making beautiful progress—choosing curiosity over fear, allowing more gentle interactions, and getting braver by the day. Waylon isn’t the life-of-the-party type—but he is the kind of dog who forms a deep, meaningful bond with his person. The kind of connection that makes every small win feel huge. ✨

Story
Ziva is a 4 year old “Texas Heeler” with lots of energy and high intelligence! She’s house trained and obedient with a strong understanding of commands and has a constant desire for connection with her chosen and trusted people. I adopted her at the end of 2022 from a shelter in central Wisconsin when she was around 1 year old. For the first 2 years she was very social with dogs and strangers alike, with a willingness to learn and always down for anything (dog parks, breweries, farmer’s markets, camping…you name it). As she has gotten older, her reactivity has increased. She’s not as reliable around other dogs and is more hesitant of strangers. In order to be successful, her new home would require humans with a strong understanding of high energy/high intelligence dogs that have some reactive qualities; a home with a lot of room to roam and owners willing and able to support her needs with the time and space for intentional connection and consistency.
