Story
Spunky, full of life, higher energy. Would like another dog in the home to play with. Laverne - Spunky and full of life. Laverne is the perfect pal to keep you on your toes. She loves playing with other dogs bigger than her, and is an extremely fast runner and high jumper. She’s quite the athlete, she’s even attended her first agility class. Once you make sure to get all her energy out for the day she will cuddle up next to you and would love lots of belly rubs or neck scratches. Laverne would do best in a home with children age 5 and above due to her high energy levels.

Story
Are you looking for a sweet and fun loving dog? Then Ella is your girl! Ella is super friendly, happy, and always up for playing outside or snuggling. When Ella first entered our care, she had a bad case of "happy tail." Happy tail is when a dog wags their tail so often and vigorously, it injures the tail. But no worries, she's all healed up now and verified as a happy tail kind of dog. Ella is also a very smart girl and already knowing some basic tricks. Ella absolutely loves to play ball and gets the zoomies with excitement for play time in the yard. Ella seems to love all people and enjoys being around others. She previously lived with children and would love a family of her own again. Ella loves playing with other dogs and making friends. Her favorite thing is to play chase with other dogs. Please fill out an application to meet our sweet and happy Ella! She can't wait to meet you. Story
Mishka was found out on her own and no one came to claim her. She is still very young so she moved into a foster home to help her learn about living in a home. She plays well with the dog in the home and loves her toys. She is inquisitive and surely will be a smart dog. She has lots of potential to grow into a beautiful dog. She has the cutest little tail just like a tiny bear cub. She has lots of puppy energy and is very affectionate once she meet you. Here's what her foster mom has to say about her: "She likes being close to her human. She is gentle and cuddly when she's tired. She receives praise and redirection so well for such a young dog. She is inquisitive and highly intelligent. She comes when called. She responds to "no." She knows "sit" & we've begun "down." She launches herself into fetch games. She loves playing with other dogs. She enjoys all toys, crinkle, squeaks, and plush. She'll quietly chew on a bone for several minutes. She does well on a leash and seems to enjoy walking. She has a voracious appetite."Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
We have had Chico since he was a baby, my mother bought him for my eldest, and he ended up my responsibility lol. He is supposedly a red healer and he is a bundle of energy. He is constantly around my 4 kids (a teen, twin 8 year olds, and a five year old). He was a covid dog though so he isn't very socialized with lots of people or animals. My mom lives with us and she has a small dog that he gets along with fine. He really does need someone who will socialize him as I just do not have the time. He needs a family with a yard that is fenced. I do not have the money or permission to install a fence on my property and he is a runner. He has so much energy and just wants to run around. I have to walk him on a leash cause he slips out of every type of tie out I have tried, there for every time i open the door without putting him in his kennel first he is off!!! He has come to taking that as play time and has turned me getting him back into a game. He loves to ride in the car!

Story
Don't overlook this charming gentle giant, Snoopy! He's perfectly content in his own company, often found lounging on the couch or peering out the windows. Snoopy's zest for exploration can lead to some enthusiastic leash-pulling, as he eagerly takes in his surroundings with boundless energy. While he may not realize his size and strength, Snoopy's friendly disposition shines through, especially with older kids and his foster family's smaller dog. Despite the dog's reserved nature, Snoopy remains upbeat, wagging his tail with joy. He's incredibly affectionate, delighting in cuddles and kisses, often snuggling up next to humans on the couch for a nap. With his endearing puppy-like clumsiness and penchant for play, Snoopy finds joy in retrieving tennis balls and engaging in backyard antics. This lovable giant adores human company, enjoying playful interactions without demanding constant attention. Snoopy's penchant for hugs and slobbery kisses makes him a cherished companion for any household comfortable with a large dog who appreciates both indoor relaxation and outdoor adventures.
