Colorpoint Shorthair kittens & cats in Houston, Texas

We rescued a male orange flame point smoke about 1-year-old. We got all the treatments to get him fixed, de-flea, de-wormed, tested etc. He is talkative and interactive likes to play and look out of the window. He has not yet let us hold him and is hesitant about letting us touch him. he plays rough with our male cat. But our cat does not hiss or fight back. He growls and runs. Our two females hiss at him and then he leaves them alone. He will not yet let humans hold him. We can pet him while he is eating. He has been around the house interacting for 4 weeks. Prior to that we had him in a bathroom for about a week and a half. We are acclimating him with food rewards and petting him more each day. He rubs on us, clearly wanting interaction and attention. He's just not 100% sure yet. Laura was able to scratch his back last night without him running away; no food involved. He likes the bed right by the recliner, and spends so much time close to us. WILL HALVE YOUR SORROWS AND DOUBLE YOUR JOYS  DOB 5/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Misty, a beautiful, sweet, playful dilute calico gal whose amiable personality radiates to everyone whom I meet. In fact, when I was spayed, the vet staff was impressed by how sweet I am. That my congeniality stands out is quite a compliment since they see a steady stream of kittens. I was found as a four-month old orphan kitten with no momma or siblings in sight. I’ll never tell, but Foster Meowmy thinks I must’ve been someone’s pet who got lost, escaped, or was abandoned. When she found me at her community cat feeding station in southwest Houston, I was hungry for both food and love, so I let her pick me up and carry me home. I made friends easily with my five foster mates, and I’m delighted to have a built-in “litter” because all of us orphans are about the same age!
