HER SOULFUL EYES DELIVER YOU FROM DAILY CHAOS  DOB 2/14/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Rumi, an incredibly sweet, easygoing, and beautiful “tabico,” a.k.a. tabby-calico, gal with stunning colors that glow as if I were golden. Actually, I’m like any calico because I have large areas of white -- except I have brown tabby instead of the usual black. Peach patches are sprinkled over my tabby areas as if I’d gotten splattered with caramel in a candy factory. My favorite thing in the world is simple – to be next to you. It could be the complete peace I feel while I make biscuits when watching TV with you. Or it could be when I curl up beside you to settle in for a cozy head massage or belly rub! I’m the kind of kitty who seems to understand when you need company. Whether you’ve had a long day or just want to relax with a soft, furry, comforting presence nearby, I’m happiest lying next to you, soaking up your love, and giving it right back to you. You'll feel me affectionately weaving through your legs while you do chores, but I’m actually leaving my pheromones to mark you as mine. Although we will share an occasional wand-toy adventure together when the mood strikes, I’m basically a low-maintenance girl who knows not to demand your time and attention when you’re busy. I can entertain myself with window-patrol duty or cozy naps in soft beds. Plus I get along great with all ages of hoomans, including kids, as well as dogs; as far as other cats go, I tolerate them but prefer to be on my own. My foster meowmy first saw me roaming in her neighborhood as a friendly stray. For a long time she fed me as she drove by but finally succumbed to my winsome personality by bringing me inside. Now I’m ready to be the beautiful soul who brings my comforting energy, affectionate cuddles, and peaceful presence to bless my forever family. Could that be you? Give me a chance, and I’ll help deliver you from the turmoil of the day. HOPE ID 26-0128-G017 Rumi’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Rumi will be this weekend, email us at sfenicle1@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
This fluffy calico is the life of the party wrapped in a soft, colorful coat. With her vibrant patches of orange, black, and white and her extra-plush fur, she makes an entrance wherever she goes—and she fully expects you to notice. Curious, confident, and endlessly social, she’s the first to greet you at the door and the last to leave your side. She adores attention and isn’t shy about asking for it—whether that means weaving between your legs, chirping for pets, or dramatically flopping onto her back for belly rubs. But her true love language? Food. The crinkle of a treat bag will have her sprinting across the room in seconds, and she approaches every meal like it’s the highlight of her day (because, to her, it absolutely is). Despite her bold personality, she’s incredibly sweet, always ready to snuggle up after a good play session or a satisfying snack. This outgoing little calico brings warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of personality—plus a healthy appetite—to any home lucky enough to have her. Contact us at tkcrescue@gmail.com if interested!

NAME: Crayola Sex: female Color/Pattern: dilute Calico, gray, peach, white Breed: domestic shorthair Weight: ~6lbs at 6 months old Age at intake: ~8 weeks BDAY approx: May 10, 2024 Intake date : July 7, 2024 Found date: ~July 1 Coat length: short Description Crayola is a very pretty and rare dilute calico, who is outgoing, affectionate, and always acting on her curiosity. Personality Crayola is smart and adventurous. She does flips in her crate for fun and is athletic in other ways too. She is very playful and explorative. Even when she is nervous and not sure of herself yet in a new place or with a new person, her curiosity gets the best of her. She has FOMO and wants to be part of everything going on. She is always watching and aware of everything around her. You won't catch her snoozing much because she is always alert. Crayola will ask for attention by rolling on her back for belly rubs and by weaving between your legs when you are sitting down. She will act coy and like she doesn't trust you, but as soon as you turn away she runs up for some affection. How dare you ignore her. Background Crayola and her brother were found at about 6-8 weeks old just before Hurricane Beryl in July, down in a neighborhood in SW Houston. Their finder brought them to a GNAR group home, where many others had been sent from the same large colony of cats that live there and are actively TNR'd. Crayola was big, fat and healthy, but defensive and hissy. Her brother was small and weak and sadly didn't make it. Crayola had to stay in a quarantine crate for several months because of her brother's illness. But she was always robust and a great eater. She recovered well from an eye infection they had when they arrived, that left a tiny scar on one of her lenses. Compatibility Dogs - yes, eventually Cats - yes Kids - yes

Description Black, Orange and White (medium fur) Female Calico with white paws. Personality Pepper is a very mild-mannered, well behaved, litter box trained cat. She is extremely polite and affectionate and a perfect indoor kitty. She prefers to let you know when she wants to be held and if you sit in a chair she happily jumps into your lap for affection. Pepper is patient and has a gentle nature. She can seem shy when adapting to a new place, but quickly will begin to happily explore. Background Pepper was found behind a garage parking lot with no shelter, food or water. She was extremely thin, malnourished and very friendly, even to a stranger. Her finder left her food and water and then returned two more days to feed her. On the third day they brought a cat carrier and she walked right into the carrier. She must have either been lost or dumped. They posted her as a found stray and tried to find her home but no one claimed her. She was spayed at The Greater Good on April 29th, dewormed, vaccinated, and given flea treatment. Pepper will make a wonderful pet for a small family with older children or a single person or couple looking for a wonderful companion. Please help!My mom went into the hospital and has moved to a memory care. She has 2 cats (Sugar and Spice). This is Spice. They are from the same litter and have been together since birth. You can see the picture of when they were really young when they first came to live with my mom. They have been wonderful cats to my mom. They are older and just need a good loving home. They are laid back and very sweet. The black and white one (Sugar) is more outgoing than her shy sister (Spice, the Calico). One Spice feels comfortable she warms up. I would love to be able to keep them together if possible but mainly want to find each of them a safe and loving home. Can you or someone you know be looking for a companion who appreciates your company just as much as you will appreciate theirs?

Story
Meet Jenga – my “class clown” sweet little lady who is finally ready for her forever home! TOO LONG, DIDN’T READ - SUMMARY: * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Our rescue is located in Houston, TX, and we transport our babies to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and Colorado (on occasion). Transport cost is included in the adoption fee. * Jenga will be shy at first in her new home and needs an adopter who will be patient with her while she adjusts. * Adoption fee (adult 1.5+ years) is $315 I had the pleasure of finding and raising Miss Jenga for the last year and a half, helping her go from a scared little kitten to a confident and beautiful cat. And BOY is she beautiful — a chunky little Tabico / Calico with cheek smudges who always looks like she’s smiling! Perfection! For the first year we were together, Jenga had no interest in being my friend. Don’t get me wrong, she was loving her life indoors… I caught her on camera every day bouncing around with her foster kitten buddies and chowing down on all the food she could possibly want. She just wasn’t ready to trust humans, and with that cute little face, I didn’t mind waiting around for her ;) About a year into our time together, Jenga finally made notable progress. She started getting excited to see me when I walked in the room! She darted up to a high shelf where she felt safe, stretched, rolled around, and even accepted some pets from me in exchange for treats. Since that day, Jenga has continued to become a confident, sweet, and friendly little kitty. She is without a doubt the queen of the foster cats, and they all follow her lead. She has also become a bit of a class clown!! She is shamelessly in love with Churu treats and will tap on my hand until she gets one (I put that video in her adoption profile - it’s pretty cute). She loves hanging out on her window perch, leaning over and staring down at me with her arms hanging over the side like a cute little dork. She also demands pets as soon as I walk in the room. It was bittersweet to realize that Jenga was finally ready for adoption because I love her to pieces. But after all her hard work learning to trust, Jenga deserves a family of her own who can give her all the love and attention she could ever want… not my loving foster home where she has to share that attention with 10 other kitties. I can’t wait to find her perfect family! If (and only if) you are considering opening your home to two cats, Jenga has a best friend named Aspen (a petite orange gal) who needs an understanding adopter willing to help bring her out of her shell. Adopting Aspen is NOT a condition for adopting Jenga, because Jenga deserves her happily ever after regardless. Just worth mentioning :) — Jenga has lived with multiple cats her whole life and would do very well if adopted with a buddy or into a home with a friendly resident cat. She has never met a dog before, but with proper introductions she may do well with a very calm and cat-savvy dog. Her ideal home would be a relatively calm environment with no children (or older / respectful children who understand the importance of giving a kitty her space.) She will thrive with experienced cat owners who will be patient while she gets used to her new surroundings. Once she does, she will return that love and patience tenfold! Jenga is approximately 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy.

The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Jenga is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

Meet Almond — a quiet beauty with a gentle soul 🤎 TOO LONG, DIDN’T READ - SUMMARY: * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Our rescue is located in Houston, TX, and we transport our babies to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and stops along the way. Transport cost is included in the adoption fee. * Adoption fee (adult 1.5+ years) is $315 --- Almond has spent much of her life so far outdoors, finding her way through the world near a hotel before a kind rescuer gave her the chance at something more. Despite her past, she carries a soft, tender spirit that shines through in everything she does. Almond is a striking lady!! Her adorably round body is peak physical perfection, and she is the most adorable little "Cinnabon" swirls that look like they were painted on. She’s petite overall with short little legs and dainty features, but paired with the sweetest round belly that gives her an endearing, slightly wobbly walk as she does her Important Cat Things. This sweet little gal loves cuddling in her fluffy bed where she can disappear into the softness. She adores being warm and cozy now that she's experienced the good life. During exceptionally good naps you’ll only catch a glimpse of her: a tiny face peeking out or a single paw stretching from the bed fluff. Nowadays Almond is never really alone. She has a quiet, nurturing presence that draws other cats and kittens to her, and she has been a mother figure to many of the kittens in her foster home. You’ll often find them gathered around her, exchanging gentle headbutts and soft little “kisses,” a constant display of affection and trust. They love to make biscuits on her tummy and will tuck in next to her any chance they get! Almond herself is gentle, sensitive, and a bit reserved at first. She takes her time learning to trust, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into something truly special. The kind of presence that doesn’t demand attention, but becomes the reason you smile every single day. She’s looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, be herself, and continue sharing her quiet kind of love. --- Almond gets along perfectly with other cats and would do well if adopted with a friend or to a home with a friendly resident kitty. She has never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a patient, cat-savvy dog we think she could learn to love a new pup sibling. Her ideal situation is a calm and loving home where she can feel safe, be herself, and continue sharing her love with a family who will be hers forever. Almond is approximately 2.5-3 years old, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy.. all she needs now is a home! The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Almond is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

Meet Josephine and Emma - a truly extraordinary bonded pair of kitties 💛 TOO LONG, DIDN’T READ - SUMMARY: * Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Our rescue is located in Houston, TX, and we transport our babies to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and Colorado (on occasion). Transport cost is included in the adoption fee. * Josephine (FeLV+) is bonded with her daughter Emma, who has tested negative multiple times for FeLV. * Adoption fee for Emma and Josephine together is $500 (which includes a discount for adopting both of these amazing cats.) --- We don't usually write a biography for two cats at once, but this sweet mother/daughter duo share everything, and you really can't get to know one of them without the other! Josephine, the devoted mother, and Emma, her daughter, share a bond based on survival and love. The duo came from a rough situation where survival wasn’t guaranteed, yet somehow, they made their way through... and held on tight to each other. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, forming a bond that is as rare as it is beautiful. Josephine and Emma aren’t just cats who get along. They’re a family, a team, and a reminder of resilience and love. They'll be a beautiful addition to a loving forever family. --- Josephine is the heart of the duo: bubbly, gentle, and full of quiet kindness. She has an innocent sweetness about her, and a protective, nurturing instinct when it comes to Emma. She’s a loving presence who seems to understand just how special their connection is. Emma, her daughter, brings a different kind of charm. She’s a bit more cautious at first, observing the world with her wide, expressive eyes that make her look forever kitten-like. But in a flash, that soft gaze can turn into a mischievous, almost “tiny troublemaker” look that gives her a playful edge. It’s part of what makes her so endearing. Together, they do everything side by side: sleeping in little tangled bundles, grooming each other, playing, basking in the sun, or simply sitting close, as if that alone is enough. Their relationship isn’t just companionship; it’s a deep, comforting partnership that you can feel just by being around them. These two gals also adore their foster family and are always in the middle of the action! They love pets and snuggles, and bring a calm energy to any room. They are so loving and adorable -- they are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face! Josephine and Emma are looking for a home where they can stay together... just as they’ve always been. --- Emma and Josephine have been around cats in their foster home and they do very well in that environment! They would both be great in a home with another resident cat, but please consult your veterinarian on vaccines and recommendations due to Josephine's FeLV+ status. Emma is ~1 year old and Josephine is ~2 years old. They are both spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption application can be found here:
 https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

The girls are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.
