Story
Meet Patty! Sweet Patty was born around February 3, 2026, so she is still very much a baby. This sweet puppy is tiny and playful. She is a mix of breeds, but her primary two breeds are coonhound and border collie. Patty came into our rescue as part of a litter of four puppies; all four puppies (including Patty) have amazing temperament; they are confident, calm, smart, and friendly. We can see Patty fitting into a variety of different homes. Patty is amazing with kids and great with other dogs. She is a cutie pie! You can't really go wrong. She will probably be around 60 lbs fully grown. Patty is currently being fostered in Los Angeles, California. If you would like to be Patty's furever home please submit your adoption application via: https://form.jotform.com/242435469571059 You can also text us at 840-699-7240

Story
🐾💙 BUDDY BOY — NINE YEARS OLD, FOREVER YOUNG, AND EVERYBODY'S BEST FRIEND! 💙🐾 Some dogs are waiting for a home. Buddy Boy is waiting for his family. ❤️ 📍 Friends of Upland Animal Shelter — Upland, CA 🐾 Animal ID: IEPA-A-19137 🐶 Breed: Coonhound Mix 💙 Male (Neutered) | 9 Years Young | 56 lbs 📅 At the Shelter Since: May 24, 2026 Imagine one of those movies where a terrible storm has destroyed a family's home. A dog comes running toward a firefighter, desperately trying to lead him back to the ruins to rescue someone he loves. That's Buddy Boy. ❤️ Or imagine a family evacuating before a hurricane, when suddenly a child cries, "Where's Buddy Boy?" And Dad immediately runs back because nobody is leaving without him. That's Buddy Boy, too. A dog who belongs in the heart of a family, not in a shelter kennel. 🐾 THE HAPPIEST LITTLE DANCE IN TOWN! Every time Buddy Boy sees his favorite volunteers, he performs an adorable four-legged happy dance! It's his way of saying, "I'm SO happy to see you! And could we PLEASE hurry? I need my potty break!" 😂 Buddy Boy is exceptionally housetrained. Even after months at the shelter, he continues to keep his kennel clean, patiently waiting to be taken outside. And once he's outside? Let the fun begin! 🎾 TWO BALLS, PLEASE! Buddy Boy LOVES fetch. And we're not talking about a few casual throws. This boy could play forever! But there's a trick: you need TWO balls! Buddy Boy isn't giving up the one in his mouth until he sees you throw the other. He's nine years old, but apparently nobody told him he's supposed to slow down! 😂 He also loves water, sunshine, exploring, and following fascinating scent trails with that wonderful Coonhound nose. And when he spots a squirrel? 🐿️ He freezes, tail straight, nose pointing toward his discovery, looking like a professional hunting dog waiting for instructions. It's quite a sight! ❤️ A DOG WHO HAS STOLEN SO MANY HEARTS Buddy Boy is a volunteer favorite, especially beloved by Kelly and Lonna, who make time not only to take him outside but simply to enjoy his company. Kelly says: "He is always happy, does a little happy dance when I see him. Loves to play ball! I think he would do great in a home with kids to play with. Definitely potty trained." And Lonna describes him beautifully: "Buddy is such a gentle, affectionate soul. He loves people and is so happy just to spend time with you." She also loves how patiently he waits in his kennel, without barking or demanding attention, until it's time for his joyful little potty-break parade. 🏡 BUDDY BOY'S DREAM HOME 💙 An affectionate, loyal companion who loves people 🎾 An active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and endless fetch 🐾 Housetrained, intelligent, and knows basic commands 🥰 A social butterfly with a playful, youthful spirit 🏡 A wonderful candidate for first-time dog owners A few important things to know: 🐕 Buddy Boy can be dog-selective. Although he remains calm around other dogs during walks, compatibility with another dog would require careful evaluation and introductions. 🐈 He has a high prey drive and has not been tested with cats. 🧸 Safety first: Buddy Boy tears apart and may swallow blankets and stuffed toys, so these should never be left with him. Even durable rubber toys require supervision. ❤️ NINE YEARS OF LIFE. SO MUCH LOVE STILL TO GIVE. Buddy Boy doesn't need to learn how to love a family. He already knows. He just needs a family to love. A family that will laugh at his happy dance, throw that second tennis ball, enjoy his wonderful personality, and never, ever leave him behind. Because Buddy Boy isn't just somebody's future pet. He's somebody's missing family member. 💙 🐾 Come meet Buddy Boy at Friends of Upland Animal Shelter in Upland, California. Give this extraordinary boy the happy ending he deserves! 🏡❤️
