Story
Dot is a 3.5 year old Coonhound mix. This sweet and beautiful girl came to us with another dog, Atta, who has recently been adopted. Dot is very friendly but can come across as shy when she first meets you. She is much cuter than this photo can show; Dot proved to be pretty camera shy on picture day! Dot loves to be outside but she can climb a fence and does not need to be left unsupervised. While Dot did come in with another dog, a meet-n-greet is always suggested. Dot enjoys squeaky toys and walks pretty well on a leash, though she could use some work. Dot is tall but lean, weighing right at 50 lbs. We believe this is a pretty good size for her and her breed's body style, but a few extra pounds of love wouldn't hurt her! She is very much like a coondog and we would suggest her to a family with some knowledge on the breed. We do not suggest Dot with small animals because she does have a decently high prey drive.  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Missy is a super sweet 45 lb mix who was found on a busy corner road. She was super scared when we found her but it has been so much fun to see her personality come though! She lost her right eye to an injury but that just makes her all the more special. She's definitely a "mommas girl and tends to lean more towards females than males, but who could blame her? She plays well with others and has a super goofy and hyper play style. She loves her toys and cuddle time on the couch. She's kennel trained and doesn't potty in the house and she sleeps super well at night in her kennel as well. She doesn't like to be where she can't see her humans and craves attention. She is treat motivated and just an overall good girl! She would make the BEST addition to your family if you give a forgotten girl a chance. Missy is HW+ and is currently receiving treatment with expected full recovery. If she is adopted prior to the end of her treatment, PCS Pups will continue to cover the costs of treating the HW.
