Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.houndy girl ISO love - and lots of sniffing opportunities! LYNHURST NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Lynhurst and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (April 28th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!     Name: Lynhurst      Best Guess for Breed: Coonhound mix Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of February 2024        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  44 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Lynhurst is Looking For:   If you know, you KNOW. Hounds are pretty awesome and coonhounds are definitely super special! They are sweet! They can be goofy! They can be so chill in the home - sprawling on the sofa is a pastime - and so eager to sniff out everything outside. Lynhurst is looking for her own humans for long super sniffy walks, romps in parks, and lots of adventures (ones where she can sniff too, natch).    She's in her prime as an adult and has so much love and loyal companionship to give - and so many ways to make you laugh. In exchange she's asking for quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and always knowing she's safe and loved and under her own roof. What do you say? Does that sound like a good deal to you? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Meet Lil' Miss Heinz 57! Actually, her name is Opal but this 4-month-old girl's DNA came back with everything except the kitchen sink! She is the epitome of an All-American Mutt. Opal is an energetic gal who gives 110% to everything - she plays hard, naps hard and gives her whole heart to her people. She is one lucky pup, as her foster mom is also a dog trainer, so she has been eagerly working on perfecting her basic commands and more. She is treat-motivated, which makes for fairly easy training. Opal's ideal family will be active and preferably have another playful dog for her to romp with. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed at the age of 6 months. This dog's adoption fee is $400. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months. Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Possessing a soul as gentle as a summer breeze, this mature gentleman has mastered the art of unconditional love. Whether you're in the kitchen or curled up on the couch, he'll be your ever-faithful shadow, and he's especially fond of bedtime cuddles. A socialite among dogs and a quintessential hound at heart, Buddy loves to explore every nook and cranny with his keen nose. He's been known to explore table tops and counters, but he's making commendable progress in learning home manners. Don't let his age fool you-Buddy is enthusiastic about outdoor walks and is quite the athlete, effortlessly covering 4-5 miles. He's a dream on the leash and completely crate-trained, often seeking out the house's coziest spots for a snooze. Buddy Cain isn't just any senior dog; he's an aged treasure full of love and wisdom, perfect for someone looking to bring calm, affection, and a touch of outdoor adventure into their lives. Adopt Buddy and you're not just gaining a pet, but a life-long, love-filled companion.

Our Adoption Radius is a maximum of 60 miles from zip code 20906 Bel Air MD - Have you seen anything more beautiful than a tripod! Lettie is 2 years old and comes with a story of triumph despite sad beginnings. She was left in a broken down car along with three other dogs. Yep just like that. Never reclaimed and were being fed by Good Samaritans. She was hit by a car and lost her front leg, but rest assured that doesn’t affect her quality of life, nor her amazing spirit. She's about 40lbs. Lettie is dog, cat and child friendly. She does fine in a crate but doesn’t really need one cause she’s not destructive. She’s fully vaccinated and spayed, HW- If you’re interested in adopting this beauty, let us know by reaching out through Tascas.Love@gmail.com

Story
Rock Cress's paw pattern will steal your heart! This fiesty energetic puppy is a great cuddle bug. Go through the pictures at your own risk   Rock Cress is doing great adjusting to his foster home.  He is a playful little puppy who loves to take naps.  He is working on crate training, and happily wanders into his crate on his own to sleep and settles relatively quickly.  He is curious about his foster parent's resident dog and is learning how to play.  He is doing well with potty training and understands he is supposed to go to the bathroom outside and alerts us of any accidents.  He is curious and likes to sniff and explore outside and is making quick progress at taking walks on a leash. He loves attention, naps, belly rubs, comfy blankets, and his toys. Visit https://www.wtarescue.com/adoption-process-2 to learn about our adoption process! Mandatory in person transfer date:May 4th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. ##1975560##
