To learn more about Silas, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Silas will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Meet the ever-handsome, Silas! This hound boy is an energetic and joyous young man looking to blossom in a forever home. His looks are really impressive, with classic hound coloring, expressive facial movements, and a tongue that may be larger than his face! And that’s not to discount his deep hazel eyes, which give him just that little bit of extra cuteness. Silas is around 2 years old, making him fully grown, but still maturing. He is still finding his way and would benefit from structure and routine while he discovers what the world has to offer. He has already mastered how to walk with his nose to the ground, not giving up on any interesting smells. He has also experienced jogging and has done well in the car. His nose will often work overtime, which leads him to have a bit of a refined taste. Silas has not gone for all treats, but has especially enjoyed cheese and peanut butter. So, if you’re in the market for a devilishly handsome hound (with peanut butter and cheese readily available), you may have just found your match! Don’t miss out, and adopt Silas ASAP!

To learn more about Boone, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Boone will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Boone is a senior Coonhound mix who perfectly balances “distinguished gentleman” with “goofy best friend.” This long-snooted guy has plenty of pep and LOVES getting outside to explore—he’s happiest when he’s following his nose and taking in the world around him. He may be a little unsure in brand new situations, but he warms up quickly and is eager to please. Boone is affectionate, loves snuggles, gets along great with his foster siblings, and is overall an easygoing, happy pup who just wants to be part of the fun. As we have gotten to know him, Boone has proven to be equal parts sweet, silly, and full of charm. If you’re looking for a gentle, fun-loving companion with a playful heart, Boone might just be your perfect match.

Story
Just one look at Andy's face, and you'll understand why everyone falls in love with him. Those soulful eyes...those adorable floppy ears with their soft, feathery curls...that happy puppy grin. Andy is simply irresistible. Born around April 1, Andy is one of nine puppies born to a beautiful, gentle Redbone Coonhound mix mom. Like his brothers and sisters, he didn't have the easiest start in life and arrived in rescue a little underweight. Since coming to Critter Cavalry Rescue on June 29, he's been getting plenty of nutritious food, lots of love, and every chance to grow into the healthy, happy puppy he was always meant to be. Today, Andy weighs 14.8 pounds and is expected to mature into a handsome 45–50-pound companion. While his mom is a Redbone mix, we're convinced there's another wonderful breed or two in his family tree. Maybe Lab...maybe Aussie...or perhaps even a little Cocker Spaniel, judging by those impossibly cute ears! Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain—he's absolutely perfect just the way he is. Andy is everything you hope for in a puppy. Curious. Joyful. Smart. Affectionate. He's already using pee pads like a champ when he can't make it outside, and he's beginning to learn about crates, leashes, and all the exciting adventures that come with growing up. This little guy wakes up every day ready to discover the world. Whether he's exploring the backyard, playing with other dogs, making friends with cats, or greeting complete strangers with a wagging tail, Andy approaches life with confidence and happiness. He truly believes everyone is a friend he just hasn't met yet. Because he's an active, intelligent puppy, Andy will thrive with a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, or an active family committed to daily walks, trips to the dog park, and plenty of playtime and training. He's eager to learn and will blossom with the guidance, consistency, and love that every puppy deserves.  Andy isn't just looking for a home. He's looking for his people—the family who will celebrate his silly puppy moments, teach him new things, laugh at his antics, and love him through every stage of life. In return, he'll fill your days with laughter, companionship, and unconditional love for years to come. If your heart skipped a beat when you saw Andy, it may be because he's been waiting for someone just like you.
