Story
🐾 Meet Moose! 🐾 This sweet, funny, and lovable 3-year-old Coonhound is looking for his forever home! At 80 pounds of pure joy, Moose is as curious as they come and loves exploring his surroundings. He's attentive and eager to please, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and spending quality time together. If there was ever a dog meant to be a stand up comedian, it is Moose. He loves to bring his toys to you and so wants you to play tug of war or simply chase. At night he likes to lie on top of his foster mom in her lounger. : ). He is great with dogs and cats and the entire neighborhood loves him. Moose is crate trained and housebroken. He’s fantastic with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with furry friends to share his adventures with. 🐕💕 One thing Moose does need is a large yard with a tall fence or an invisible fence to safely roam and burn off his energy—he’s got the typical Coonhound curiosity and will want to explore everything around him! If you're ready for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent pup who will keep you laughing and give you endless love, Moose might just be the perfect fit for your family. 🐾 Is Moose the one you've been looking for? Contact us today to meet this amazing boy! Moose is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
https://foha.org/pet/colt/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Colt — my name might bring to mind a young horse galloping through a field, and while I do enjoy a good walk or a playful dash around the yard, I’m just as happy lounging and taking naps. I’ve got a gentle heart and a loyal soul, especially with the people I know and trust. New situations and unfamiliar people can make me nervous. Even though I’m a big guy, the world can feel a bit scary sometimes. Because of that, I’m looking for a calm, quiet home with no children and a very experienced adopter who can help me build confidence at my own pace. I’m not the kind of dog who wants to be rushed — I need time, patience, and someone who sees past the fear and into my kind heart. If you’re the kind of person who values connection and is willing to put in the time to earn my trust, I promise I’ll repay you with loyalty and love. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Not specified – FOHA can help assess my compatibility with other dogs during the meet-and-greet process. HOW AM I WITH CATS: Unknown – FOHA can cat-test me upon request. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: I need an adult-only home with no children due to my fearfulness and need for a quiet, predictable environment. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Not listed – but I’m smart and will thrive with positive reinforcement and patient training. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I’m fully housebroken and take pride in keeping my space clean. A calm, consistent routine helps me feel secure. THINGS I LIKE: Long walks, calm yards for a quick dash, quiet places to nap, gentle companionship, and people I trust. THINGS I DISLIKE: Loud noises, unfamiliar people or situations, and being rushed. I do best with slow introductions and patient humans. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS: https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
