Story
Courtesy Post Meet Tyson a Sweet Senior Gentleman Life has changed dramatically for this handsome 11-12-year-old Coonhound mix after the heartbreaking loss of his beloved owner. While he's still adjusting, his gentle, loving personality continues to shine, and he's hoping to find a forever family to love again. This sweet senior is everything you could want in a companion. He's calm, affectionate, house-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He recently had a full wellness exam, bloodwork, a dental cleaning, tested heartworm negative, and is ready for his next chapter. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and enjoys the company of adults, whether they're family or strangers. While he hasn't spent much time around young children, his easygoing, mellow nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. Cats, however, are not his cup of tea. One of his most charming traits? He loves to "sing" along to a few of his favorite songs, adding a little extra joy and personality to every day. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who still has so much love to give, this sweet boy would love the chance to fill your home—and your heart. This is a courtesy post. Story
Riley 5 years old. Pit Terrier/Coonhound Mix Lovable Couch Potato! Meet Riley. My wife and I adopted Riley as a puppy in 2021 from a local rescue in Berkley MI. Snuggle bug and absolute couch potato. She is somewhat shy at first but once she warms up to you she will be your best friend. Riley is fully house/potty trained. Up to date on all shots and vaccinations and is very healthy. No medications or dietary needs. She is spayed. Also knows basic commands such as sit, down, and crate. She does not beg or counter surf. We have made the difficult decision to re-home Riley because she does not do well with small children. She is tolerable of our other dog, but overall we think she would do best in a child-free and pet-free home. Riley will thrive in a quieter environment with a fenced backyard as she loves to explore! While our hearts are broken to have to re-home her, we feel that this will be a positive move that will put her into a more comfortable environment.
