Story
Update: 7/9/26 Are you looking for a loyal companion who's always there for you—affectionate without being clingy, and give sweet, gentle kisses instead of soaking you in slobber? Then I might be the perfect match for you! My name is Honey. I'm a sweet girl who's still a little shy but learning how wonderful love can be. I'll happily follow you up and down the stairs or from room to room, but I'm also content to quietly watch from afar giving you your space. When I'm in the mood for affection, I'll butt you with my head, lean into you for pets, or surprise you with a quick "tongue dap" on your lips—just because. At 5 years old, I'm still working through parts of my past, but I've made so much progress. My foster mom is definitely "my person," and I'm slowly building trust with foster dad, too. I still tend to shy away from him indoors (though I'm getting better!), but once we're out on a walk, I'm happy to stroll right beside him and soak up his love and attention. One of my sweetest qualities comes out at treat time. I take treats ever so gently, whether you offer them from your hand or a cup. I should mention, though, that I'm a bit of a foodie with standard, a simple Milk-Bone isn’t my thing! I'm completely house-trained doing wonderfully in my foster home. I sleep quietly through the night wherever I'm comfortable. I get along well with other dogs, but don't need a canine companion to be happy. What I really want is a person to love. A couple of nice walks each day, a securely fenced yard and plenty of time with my favorite humans are all I need to live my happiest life. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who will blossom more each day with patience and kindness, I'd love the chance to meet you.
