Story
Theta is about 4 years old. She is a very sweet dog. We only need to re-home her b/c she has attacked my other dog a few times. 99% of the time, the 2 dogs are best buddies. The aggression has mostly been over food so we separate them for that. But this last time was for no reason. She is quite good with kids but she does still jump a lot and she is big. I have kids and she has been great with them! My youngest was 11 when we got her. She needs to be with a family who can deal with a large dog who runs and jumps a lot. With the food aggression, she has growled at us over food, but only ever as a warning. She needs a family who understands that they can’t try to take her food away. More training may help with this. Sadly, we are not able to get that training. She loves to be outside. She needs a fenced in yard or someone who can walk her multiple time an day and train her better to talk on a leash. With training, she would be very good on a leash.

Story
Meet Zahara! Zahara is an approximately 2-year-old, 46-pound Coonhound who was surrendered to us when she was considered no longer useful from a puppy mill. Since arriving in our care, Zahara has been an absolute doll. She has shown herself to be incredibly sweet, social and friendly with every volunteer she meets. She has an easygoing personality and quickly wins people over with her tender nature. She has done well on a leash and enjoys being walked. Zahara is looking for a loving home that will continue to see the wonderful dog she truly is. She's a happy, affectionate gal who will make a devoted companion for a family ready to welcome her with open arms. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Story
Say hello to Forrest. He is as sweet as him namesake. A teenage boy took him from a suspicious situation to make sure he got the life he deserved. Thanks to that boy, Forrest made his way to one of our volunteers who instantly said “yes” to fostering him. He walked with a limp that she knew needed to be checked out and she was right. Forrest suffered a pelvic fracture sometime in his short little life. But the vet said it was already healing and with rest and proper support he would continue to heal and do great without surgery. And he is doing great. We don’t know what happened to cause this injury. We just know that his life is going to be amazing from here on out. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and he loves everyone he meets. His foster mom may be spoiling him :) He is doing great with house and crate training and he is a fast runner and learner. He will be great for a fun active family. We are estimating he was born about the end of May so he is a typical puppy with typical puppy energy and habits. He weighs about 15 pounds and we are having to guess at his breed mix. We are thinking he will end up being a medium dog. He will complete his vetting and be ready to travel to his forever home by then end of Sept. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee. Story
Duck is a great dog. It’s hard letting him go. I just don’t have the active lifestyle that he needs. Ever since my other dog died he all of a sudden has become bad with the kids. Never bitten. He growls at them when they walk into a room. Then the next minute he is climbing all over them. He would do well in a single dog home. With someone who can give him the attention he deserves.
