Story
Hi,   I’m Honey a 5 year old hound gal about 50#.   I’m described as a "Soft Soul" that needs love, patience and understanding to acclimate and adjust to a new home.     Adopted as a puppy, my initial home was not a good outcome.  Two years after my adoption, I was returned to Molly’s very fearful of men.  I’m great with cats, dogs, children and adult women. My challenge is men, but I’m learning that men can be kind and loving.  Since returning to Molly's a male volunteer has been working with me and I'm feeling more comfortable and confident with his kindness.   I continue to heal, receive love and am thriving in a safe, secure environment.  I get to run and play with other dogs and sleep inside in a warm, comfy, cozy bed. I do need a 4 foot fenced in yard for my safety. Remember, I am a  hound and my nose takes me places at times! :)   I know that new experiences await me and am looking forward to finding that perfect loving, secure home where I can blossom as part of a family again.  The name Honey signifies a Sweet and loving soul and that's what I am.  I just need a chance to flourish in the right home!    Honey   Kennel License # 7198 To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Story
ABOUT WINSTON Winston is a 2-year-old Hound mix who’s looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home! He came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Tennessee, where he was found wandering as a stray. Despite being severely underweight, Winston is an incredibly sweet, resilient boy who absolutely loves people. We would love to see him thrive in a foster home, where he can regain his strength and weight! True to his hound nature, his nose is always busy exploring the world around him. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet home. Winston would thrive with an active family who can give him plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and eventually romp and play, he’d especially love a yard once he’s feeling better. With a little time, care, and good nutrition, Winston is sure to blossom into a happy, energetic companion! **Winston has met children and been friendly, but it is important that adopters with small kids understand Winston's situation before adopting. We believe in full transparency with our adopters, so while he has not displayed any food aggression, we believe if a child was on his level with a snack...Winston would take said snack. Not aggressively, but because he was starved, he is a foodie and gets very, very excited for snacks. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet Dax, the wrinkly-faced, nub-tailed sweetheart you didn’t know you needed! At 2 years old and 48 pounds, this adorable bloodhound mix has perfected the art of wiggly hellos and melt-your-heart cuddles. His little tail nub never stops wagging, and his big floppy ears are just as lovable as his gentle personality.Dax is a total toy enthusiast—stuffies, squeakies, you name it, he’s in! He loves playing with other dogs (though he’s a little shy at first) and is happiest when he has a buddy to romp around with. He’s low-to-moderate energy, which means after some fun zoomies in the morning and evening, he’s perfectly content to snuggle up for long, cozy naps with his people or his foster sister. He’s a big fan of walks, trips to the park, car rides, and—his personal favorite—pupscicles! He has lived peacefully with other dogs and would love to have a furry sibling to keep him company. We think he’d also do just fine with older, dog-savvy kiddos. Since Dax isn’t crate trained and can get into a little mischief if left alone, his best fit will be a home where someone is around often or where he has a canine buddy to ease his separation anxiety.Dax does have an enlarged heart, but the cardiologist says it’s not something to worry about right now—and honestly, it just matches his personality, because this boy is ALL heart. His perfect day? Morning playtime, a few tail-wagging greetings, a tasty pupscicle, and then curling up for a nap in a warm lap. Dax is ready to shower his forever family with wiggles, cuddles, and love that never runs out. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you with his whole (very special) heart, Dax is ready to wiggle right into your life. If you would like to meet Dax, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org/online-application
