Some say trust comes easy, but I believe trust must be learned and earned. Adopted as a puppy, I was returned at 2 years old and afraid of men. Someone let me down. But despite that, I have never been anything but gentle. I'm simply a shy girl who needs a little extra time and understanding. The good news? Every day I grow more confident. With patience, a soft touch, a kind heart, and positive experiences, I know I will become someone's very best friend. Now 5 years and 55#, I'm a mellow, sweet-natured girl who enjoys the simple things in life. A daily walk, a gentle voice, and a smiling face make my day. I'm house-trained, do well when left alone, and get along with other dogs and cats alike. I've started picking up toys and showing affection, including sharing kisses with the people I trust. What helps me thrive is a predictable routine and a family willing to let me adjust at my own pace. I need a securely fenced yard where I can safely explore and sniff, along with a cozy bed where I can relax and keep an eye on my people from a comfortable distance. Some of my favorite things are walks, car rides, Pupperonis, and simply lying beside my person while we take in the world together. Adoptions fees include the following: spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, age appropriate vaccinations, initial dewormings, Activyl for fleas, tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only), bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee. Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis. We can not send extra pictures. WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet. Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.
